if you need a boox palma BW take a look at durobo with their krono. It's an alternative made by a European company, but the screen is made by onyx (and google even recognises it as a boox device) It has a similar issue as the viwoods since it has AI functions, but it's the closest thing to a BW palm

(Nearly) Palm Sized Device
You could try the Durobo Krono. It’s essentially a Palma 2 with Android 15 and a scroll wheel. I have one and am very happy with it.

Convince me to get an XTE ink
If you're locked into KU and aren't able to readily convert things on an actual computer, then I don't really think this is the best device for you.
