I'm looking for a phone sized or maybe even sub-phone sized e-ink reader. Something discreet, yes, I don't mind reading 3 words at a time LMAO

Define “dodgy”. I think pretty much all the small (phone form factor or smaller) eInk devices are by some Chinese brand or another, since no one else currently seems to be making anything below 6’’ in the “wider than phone” form factor (like Kindle Basic or Kobo Clara). Boox, BigMe and Viwoods all s

Anyone waiting for the Boox Picco?

I bought the xteink x4 and sold it 2 weeks later. The screen was fine, but I prefer using reading apps like Kindle or Kobo without having to strip the DRM from the files or pirate books. I bought a Durobo Krono (I considered a Palma 2 and the Viwoods) and I'm thrilled with it. The battery lasts 2 we

I can never go back to LED

For context, I'm a tech freak an compulsive buyer, so I'm not a good exemple. For 10.3-ish I bought : Viwoods Aipaper (for note taking and productivity) BOOX Note Air 5C(for overall media consumption without too much distractions). I bought the Boox first, but I prefer the Viwoods. More focused, bes

I am so fed up.

You should try a eink phone it's really so much more comfortable than normal screens. It's the most basic screen you can ever get. Can use it without it's front light and it doesn't have a polarizer. The big me hibreak pro, hibreak s and the minimal phone are the full Google play smartphones that us

Is the Palma 2 (B&W) being phased out in Europe? Hard to find, or should I wait for a successor?

my understanding is that most of Onyx's remaining global stock of Palma 2 boards has been turned into Durobo Kronos (yes really, no it's not a coincidence, the Krono is literally a rebranded Palma 2 with a different shell and a rotary encoder)

Was thinking about a Palma 2, now it's unavailable

The durobo krono is just a reskinned palma 2 hardware wise

Pocked sized readers

if you need a boox palma BW take a look at durobo with their krono. It's an alternative made by a European company, but the screen is made by onyx (and google even recognises it as a boox device) It has a similar issue as the viwoods since it has AI functions, but it's the closest thing to a BW palm

Recommend smartphone form factor Eink please

Ive recently picked up the Durobo Krono which Ive been impressed with. Essentially a Boox Palma 2 (b&w) with a few differences such as scroll wheel, no camera, newer but more stripped back Android.

Palm sized reader with kindle on?

More or less, yes. I think your only options really are the Android phone form factor devices like the Boox Palma / Palma 2 / Palma 2 Pro, or the ViWoods AiPaper Reader, or DuRoBo Krono, or BigMe Hibreak Pro, and these are all quite expensive. There are smaller eInk devices like the Xteink X3/X4 and
