The problem isn't the RAM, it's your graphics card (UHD Graphics 620). You're officially below the minimum requirements for the game. Your Dell Latitude 7490 is a business laptop and not designed for gaming.I'm sorry to have to give you the bad news. π

Hi, thanks for the response and thoughtful questions. I run Windows and play mostly single-player RTS/strategy games, so don't need anything intensive for competitive online play. Coming from a 2018 Dell Latitude 7490 that struggled running 10 year old games and anything that's come out recently was

T480 is older than E495. If you're looking for an upgrade, maybe see about a newer E14-series or L-14 series machine? Otherwise, if you're looking for more battery life, maybe see about supplementing what's built-in with a type-c power supply? Any laptop with an intel 8th generation CPU does IME pla

Hi, I hope this helps. I also have a low-end PC, a Dell Latitude 7490 (Intel Core i5 8th gen, and 12GB of RAM), and honestly, even on the lowest settings, the graphics look pretty good. My recommendation is that you change the game settings to "DirectX 12," since in DirectX 11 everything looks like

Either should be fine. If the TrackPoint isn't a hard requirement you could also get away with a similar Dell Latitude (7490/7400) for cheaper. Or, step down to an E480/L480 or Latitude 5490/5400. I'm personally using a Latitude 7490 with i5-8250U, 16GB of RAM, and a 256-gig SSD for all my personal

We're on an extremely long plateau right now. Windows 11 (with no mods other than allowing a local account, using Rufus) runs basically fine on any hardware it officially supports so long as you have 16+GB of RAM (ideally for multitasking especially) and an SSD. (It also runs fine on some older hard

I know man, but I can still be proud of it. (especially considering that I'm playing on a Dell Latitude 7490 with no anti-aliasing, where if you so much as look at a tree, your frames drop from like 40 to 25)

That's I good one bro, I have Dell Latitude 7490 core i7-8560U, but it doesn't have a dedicated gpu, it's a business laptop and those specs doesn't sound like it's a business laptop, it was a rig in its own era, but yeah if it was for me choosing btwn mine and that one you jus mentioned, I would go
