Alienware not recognizing device
awcc is notoriously flaky. dell's latest update broke it for a lot of people on the g15. try downloading an older version from dell's support site - version 5.5 or 5.6 often works better. use revo uninstaller to completely wipe the current install including registry entries before reinstalling. also

I loved this 2023 Gaming Laptop… until I realized it was artificially limited (32GB RAM cap)
My thought too. I have a G15 5525 with Ryzen 5 6600H and Dell says it can only take 32gb DDR5 and I put in 64gb and it works fine. Does it take forever to boot because of memory timings or whatever, yes, but the machine is stable and registers all 64gb and uses it all when needed.

i feel you, driver stuff on the G15 can be a pain. had similar with mine where the trackpad would get weird after updates. what helped me before was going into device manager and uninstalling the PS/2 mouse entry completely, then restarting without reinstalling manually. also check dell's support si
