"That" expensive scent
Coway and Winix are fairly popular brands. Make sure it has activated carbon filter as plenty of models don't have it. Also HEPA filter (certified) and that replacement filters are easily obtainable. I understand people often look for budget options but this is a long term purchase and try not to sa

Cooking smells from basement tenant
Dyson is expensive and doesn’t perform better on any test that I’ve seen. Coway Airmega is cheaper and continually wins accolades. It has a green (I think) pre-filter to handle odors.

Look
That’s a tough call and could cause more problems. For now, get yourself a few (more than one) good HEPA air filters. I like the Coway Airmega.

Quiet air purifier for bedroom
Yeah, Dyson is largely overpriced junk with a big marketing budget. Most common purifier brands have little activated carbon or other sorbent media for gases/vapors/odors/VOCs. Instead, they're designed for particulates. Generally if you need to filter particulates and gases/vapors/odors/VOCs, we us

Looking For A Genuine Top-Tier Air Purifier For 3 Rooms Of My Apartment
Housefresh.com's reviews are useful, because they measure sound and CADR using a consistent methodology, allowing you to compare among units. They've tested the three you mention. I'd suggest making a table of CADR and noise at each fan speed from their reviews. That's what I did. Based on a quick l

How long for new-filter smell to dissipate on the Coway Airmega ProX?
For 5 years I’ve had 1 Coway storm and 2 Coway AP-dh1008. The two latter have been a struggle to change filter on for the last two years. For the same reason you mention. Each filter change I think it takes about a month with the same technique you do to actually be able to run the mashines like nor

Air purifiers?
We have had the Coway Airmega for years, basically one in every room of the house. Easy to change the filters. They have been lifelines through wildfires, allergy seasons, and when our dog was around it made everything bearable for my dog-allergic husband.

Air purifier recommendations
I have a Coway air mega. The one that looks like a box with a circle in the center. I really like it because it has a HEPA and charcoal filter so it helps with odors. It works great to keep dust and dander under control but for the dog odor I changed my guys bed to a Kuranda cot. It’s vinyl so it’s

Rabbit air vs blue air vs Coway
With that budget the best option would be a Coway ProX as it's around $650 at the moment in beige. https://cowaymega.com/products/airmega-prox Just the filter replacement costs are still high, but for particulates you probably only need to change every 2 years. The Coway ProX is better than the Cowa

Smart Air Blast Mk II vs. Coway Airmega ProX
I have not owned these two specifically, but have you contacted Coway to complain about the filter? Sometimes the way they are stored in the warehouse affects the smell and getting a new filter can solve the issue. Regardless, point 3, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that SmartAir is necessarily c
