"That" expensive scent

Coway and Winix are fairly popular brands. Make sure it has activated carbon filter as plenty of models don't have it. Also HEPA filter (certified) and that replacement filters are easily obtainable. I understand people often look for budget options but this is a long term purchase and try not to sa

Rabbit air vs blue air vs Coway

With that budget the best option would be a Coway ProX as it's around $650 at the moment in beige. https://cowaymega.com/products/airmega-prox Just the filter replacement costs are still high, but for particulates you probably only need to change every 2 years. The Coway ProX is better than the Cowa

Smart Air Blast Mk II vs. Coway Airmega ProX

I agree trying a different set of filters is a good suggestion, which I why I've already done that myself! 😄 A couple of weeks ago I contacted Coway, and they sent me a new set of filters. They've been running for about five days, and emit the same odor, though it's possible they're airing out faste

Best air purifier for pets people actually recommend these days?

Wirecutter has been recommending the Coway Airmega for years now. I’ve bought several for myself and family (especially during wildfires) and they’ve performed brilliantly. Filter replacement costs are not terrible. You can use the HEPA filter for like a year and it costs maybe 40 bucks to replace.

How long for new-filter smell to dissipate on the Coway Airmega ProX?

I appreciate the upvote. I was blissfully unaware that down voting was even a thing here. I am pretty new to this forum and hadn't noticed. Kindof sad that I know that now! I appreciate all your calculations.. I have done much of the same trying to find the right combo of dB, CFM, and cost. And yeah

air purifier recommendations for main house (AUS)

Sort of what Brilliant-End4664, I'd go for one in the sunroom and one in the family room. I'd leave the door open to the sunroom and put the purifier against the back wall, facing the open door. For the second I'd put it in the corner between the slated doors. It will pull from the entrance and the

Very quiet yet high performance purifier advice?

Oops sorry I misread where you said budget was $250! I'll leave this here just in case it's helpful for someone else down the line. Looked up the C545. Claims it cleans 436 ftsq every 15 minutes (4x per hour). That would be on high speed. There are a few other purifiers that have better cleaning per

Smart Air Blast Mk II vs. Coway Airmega ProX

Have you considered a few different smaller units instead of one big unit? It’s a large space and normally you get better coverage and flow from multiple units. It would also keep the noise down because you could run them all on the lower setting. Also a good idea, and yes I did consisder that, sinc

Is Coway AirMega the best option?

the carbon filter not being "useless" thing - im with ya. thin carbon pre-filters on budget units are largely decorative, but the Airmega 160 has a more substantial carbon stage than most at that price point. if its making a difference on smell, its working. for a post-renovation situation with asth

Air Purifier Service in Kochi – Which brands actually have local support?

I own Xiaomi 2S air purifier and it's going strong even after 7 years. The replacement filters were not available during the last pollution season but now it's available on mi store. I simply washed the hepa filter and reused during that time, noticed a slightly reduced filtering but for a small clo
