Looking for Honest Air Purifier Recommendations in Chennai — DMK Supporters Please Ignore

I have been using both the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 and the Coway Airmega 150 for a few months now. Best ones in the market rn under ₹20k. Although there's not much fancy stuff on there, the Airmega is just superior when it comes to air purifying. It has a HEPA filter and a separate air filter as

These guys demonstrate the real impact of air purifiers

I also have a Coway (Airmega 150, which has HEPA and deodorization filters). I run it in my small bedroom and I found it really worked to control doggy odor when I had two small dogs sleeping in here. I've also been sick a lot less often since I got the air purifier (during Covid).

Is it alright as an immune-compromised instructor to ask sick students not to come up to my desk?

It’s a bummer to hear that the sick students aren’t just proactively choosing to be considerate since by and large, my students are super considerate about that kind of thing. I am also immunocompromised (I’m on immunosuppressants), and I tell my students this on the first day of class. It really se

Is the only big difference between these two square footage?

The Coway Airmega 150 has a separate permanent pre-filter. This makes cleaning the pre-filter much easier and doesn't risk damaging the pleated HEPA media underneath. Airmega 150 also has higher CADRs. FYI: on Coway's website, the discount codes COWAYMEGA10 or FORYOU10 give an additional 10% off for

Air purifier in 2 weeks

I've been running Coway Airmega 150 for about 1.5 week. I don't have dust anywhere close to this in the pre-filter. I've a 170 sq ft room and I keep doors and windows closed for majority of time.

How are the Ambani's okay with breathing the same air as us?

I got the Coway Airmega 150. I personally don't feel any changes in breathing but it does have a colored indicator to display the room's air quality and it does work. For example if the door is opened and someone comes in, the light turns from blue (good) to yellow (less than good). If you're planni

How big of a room can coway airmega 150 handle?

Please read the stickied thread about air purifiers and dust before you buy anything so that you have realistic expectations. You need to actually measure your spaces. 600 cubic feet is very small, so I’d confirm that is actually the volume of the room. That 1035 sqft number from Coway is only one a

Best air purifier money can buy?

See the AutoModerator comment. Air purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust or pet hair as both are large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. See the sticky post at the top of the subreddit and our other subreddit resources on dust: I need an air purifier for dust. What sh

Virus prevention - air purifiers

I’m immunocompromised and always have an air purifier (Coway AirMega 150) running next to my lectern. It’s nearly silent on the lowest setting. I also have a larger one at home (250?) that is EXTREMELY loud, so I wouldn’t recommend a big one. The building I teach in is pretty modern, so I have to as

Decent purchase? Or different one?

Coway is one of the best consumer-grade brands. Per the AHAM 2/3 rule, Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) should be a minimum of 2/3 of a room's area (assumes an 8 ft. ceiling height). Even higher CADRs may be needed if you have allergies or pollution levels are high. The Coway Airmega 150 has a top S
