Difference between these?

Yeah, your boyfriend is totally wrong. KNKA appears to be a junk rebadged brand. These are typically very cheap with poor build quality, short-lived replacement filter availability, and lousy customer service. The 2,325 sq. ft. coverage rating is highly misleading. This is likely at 1 Air Change per

Two air purifiers already do I get another?

The only 2 air purifiers that I consistently recommend to my clients are the IQAir and the Austin Air. 2 very different use cases - the IQAir is best overall, all-around, it's also very expensive. The Austin Air has a 15lb carbon block, way more than any other purifier and it's the best unit for fil

Wich Air Purifier should I get and is the Dyson BP04 realy that Bad?

Have you had air testing with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis performed? That would tell you the VOC species in your air. And have you tried source control and ventilation to bring down VOCs? Sorbent media like activated carbon can be used to remove VOCs. However, it can be ver

Recommendations for HEPA purifier, focus is virus reduction

Could you tell us the ceiling height in meters? This is needed for Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). Unfortunately air purifiers won't be great at reducing dog hair, as it's very heavy and large compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. Hairs shed very close to the air intake will be captured,

UK Air Purifier Suggestions

Since you listed measurements in feet, I'll be using the AHAM 2/3 rule for minimum Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). This assumes an 8 ft. high ceiling. See the AutoModerator comment as well. A 12' x 25' room needs minimum CADRs of 200 CFM. A 12' x 12' room needs minimum CADRs of 96 CFM. These CADRs

Help Before Black Friday Sales End!

Yes. The Coway Airmega 400 sometimes drops in price enough to justify purchasing instead. Last year in the run up to Black Friday, the Airmega 400 was $349. In 2024, I also saw the price around $369 occasionally. Right now, the Airmega 400 is full price. This usually happens before a significant sal

What purifier best fits this floor plan?

u/District98 is right - the Levoit Vital 100S-P is not powerful enough. Another note, as listed in our FAQs wiki page and in the subreddit's sticky post on dust: air purifiers aren't very good at reducing visible dust (and by extension pet hair). It's very large and heavy compared to PM2.5 and PM0.1

Levoit Everest/600S vs Coway Airmega 300

I'll use the 90 m3 measurement so I'm not underestimating any subsequent values. The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) should be at minimum 3 times your room's volume when measured in m3. This is for normal pollution levels or user scenarios. In this case, 90 m3 × 3 = 270 m3/h CADR. Note: CADR values a

Which one would you guys pick?

No, the Airmega 300 is short on all particulate CADRs (the lowest being Smoke, which is 285 CFM). The only Coway purifiers that could accomplish this are the Coway Airmega ProX or the Coway Airmega 450, as each have particulate CADRs above 400 CFM.

Never owned an air purifier and need help!

FYI: Air purifiers can't overcome walls or doors. You would need one for each room. (It sounds as though the 500 sq. ft. is fairly open, but I don't know if that includes a walled-off bathroom.) That being said, multiple purifiers can capture pollutants closer to the source and increase air circulat
