Yeah, your boyfriend is totally wrong. KNKA appears to be a junk rebadged brand. These are typically very cheap with poor build quality, short-lived replacement filter availability, and lousy customer service. The 2,325 sq. ft. coverage rating is highly misleading. This is likely at 1 Air Change per

No, Dyson is one of the worst! The HP09 has terrible Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). They just know how to market effectively. As Rule 4 and the AutoModerator comment repeats, it's helpful to know the ceiling height. I'll assume it's 2.4 meters. 60 m2 x 2.4 = 144 m3. For rooms measured in meters,

Could you tell us the ceiling height in meters? This is needed for Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). Unfortunately air purifiers won't be great at reducing dog hair, as it's very heavy and large compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. Hairs shed very close to the air intake will be captured,

I'll use the 90 m3 measurement so I'm not underestimating any subsequent values. The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) should be at minimum 3 times your room's volume when measured in m3. This is for normal pollution levels or user scenarios. In this case, 90 m3 × 3 = 270 m3/h CADR. Note: CADR values a

Hello OP. Sorry for the late reply; was visiting family a while ago and then got a lousy cold. Have you chosen anything yet? Unfortunately it's quite difficult to capture particulates and high concentrations of gases/vapors/odors effectively in one unit. You need many pounds of sorbent media (e.g.,

I don't know what "quiet" means... is there a preferred decibels (db or dBA) range? Don't know what constitutes a "larger" bedroom either. Purifiers are sized by a room's length x width x height. Generally for metric measurements, particulate Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) should be 4-6 times a ro

I don't think that's true, u/Caprichoso1. OP, I would actually look at the ratings' breakdown. Here's an overview video of their ratings icons. I took my data from the CR website which has the most current information. The Coway Airmega 300 has a poor rating of 53 where the top rated model in that category has a score is 85. Dust/pollen rating is 1 out of 5 at low speed, 4/5 at high speed but is noisy 3/5.

So I logged into Consumer Reports with a subscription. The current testing score differs from the PDF I linked. The PDF scores the Airmega 300 at 63 and categorizes it for use in 350 - 650 sq. ft. rooms. I'll update my previous comment. However, the Coway Airmega 300 does not have a "Poor" rating ov
