Eventually moving from 5d mIV, where to go? People open to other systems.

A Canon R5 or R6 is significantly smaller and lighter while keeping most of the DSLR feel and ergonomics. RF has some good small primes like the 16/28/50mm. The other option is Sony's A7C series if you want the smallest camera possible, or the A7 series which is closer to a DSLR. There are plenty of

Pillow talk - what brand are y'all actually using?

Stuck with canon. To be honest, I like a lot of things about Canon, and their recent cameras are pretty good. But their lenses are just... Why does Canon hate the idea of a mid range lens so much? Why is it that even when they released a lens that from a distance resembles a mid-range segment (28-

Budget Full Frame options.

Especially because you are used to the R7, going back to dslr autofocus can be challenging. I ended up swapping my b cam for a mirrorless because of that. Canon would be the R8, maybe an used R6. Don't think it would be worth going sony, or something more exotic like a Lumix, as you lose the benefit

What lens should I get for my R6 OG or should I upgrade to R5 Mark ii?

Generally lenses are a better investment than upgrading to a new body unless there is something specific you need from a new body. How is your R6 holding you back, or what do you think an R5 II would give you that would help your photography? Personally you got at least 2 lenses I would replace ASAP

Not Canon vs Sony!

I switched from canon to Sony when the a7r II came out and tbh I loved it, I thought the colours were great and it really rekindled my passion for photography. I switched it out for a couple of a7iiis because of the autofocus and it was so much better for weddings but then I didn’t change them again

Fair pricing on their website?

https://www.cotswoldcameras.co.uk/Canon-EOS-R6-Mark-II-Mirrorless-Camera---RF-24-105mm-F4-71-IS-STM-Lens One option is to pay an extra £100 and get a grey import R6II and RF 24-105 f4-7.1. I’ve made a few purchases with Cotswold, Panamoz and HDEW with no issues. Even the same kit you’re looking at i

Analogic to digital, what do you advice?

getting a used Full frame mirrorless from a few years ago is probably the way to go, since they are not only generally good options but ideal for adapting your fd lenses. if you want decent autofocus, you can go with an canon r6 or sony a7riii but they wont leave much budget for more lenses, a7iii a

Sports with one body?

I shot a lot of outdoor high school sports a number of years back with my EOS 60D and Rebel paired with a EF 70-200 f/4, EF-S 55-250, or Sigma 100-400 (although I used the 100-400 more for wildlife as it was heavy to hold). That was the sweet spot in my opinion. I continued to do that with my Canon

Nagoya for night-time photography: vibrant small alleys?

Thank you! Also got a Canon DSLR (EOS 6D), but the mirrorless makes things a lot easier. Originally wanted to upgrade to Canon EOS R6, but their closed-off lens system had me go with Panasonic and their L-mount instead. Very happy with it!

I need to replace my 500d with a full frame camera for my Home-Studio Photography

If you have Canon lenses you can get a used EOS R6 Mark II in "as new" condition for $1889 and then add a EF-RF converter to use your existing lenses. It'll happily focus on your subject's eye consistently.https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/canon-eos-r6-mark-iiIf you want to fit more of your subject
