I hope you've heard of the easiest way to make money as a photographer: selling your gear. Don't expect it to make money immediately, don't blow all your money on "redundancy" when you can get 95% there with the R8. They share the same sensor and processor, so the images are exactly the same. IBIS i

Especially because you are used to the R7, going back to dslr autofocus can be challenging. I ended up swapping my b cam for a mirrorless because of that. Canon would be the R8, maybe an used R6. Don't think it would be worth going sony, or something more exotic like a Lumix, as you lose the benefit

AF wise it feels slightly stickier than the already consistent R6 II As for low light and noise performance, refer to the following https://youtu.be/2415N-XgFw0?si=p7uMFLAw8Z71AUfa https://m.dpreview.com/articles/3976049315/canon-eos-r6-iii-studio-scene-published The biggest plus would be the dedica

I'd recommend the R7 if you get it for the right price, it should be around $1100 or less secondhand, sometimes goes way lower on sale through Canon's refurbished program in the USA. Whenever the R7 Mark II releases it'll be way more expensive, and I don't expect the original R7's price will drop al

It is the lens! Sigma 150-600C. You need to get the dock, update the lens firmware and then carry out the lens calibration with a focus chart at various distances to improve this. Just google, ‘Sigma dock and lens cal’. I have that lens on a Canon 7D mk2 body, which was considered a pro body, and I

It’s a great lens for hand held, very lightweight and sharp. I’ve used it as well with the Canon 1.4x TC on my R6 and AF was spot on

I only know Canon hardware (Sony or Nikon are fine, too) and I'd see if I could find a used full format, like R6 (MK I) or R8, perhaps even an older RP for that budget. Lenses are a different matter and might cost you more than the camera, although a relatively cheap do-it-all zoom like 24-105mm plu

I was saving for a new camera, was torn between R6 III and R5 II, something to pair with the RF 100-500 that I had just gotten a few months ago. A good deal popped up on the 70-200, around 1350 eur which is as low as it gets. Bought it on a whim only to realize that that purchase pushes me like 4-6

I disagree, Op if you where to take this exact picture with a professional camera, with a good lens you would notice a huge difference in image quality, youll capture a so much detail, as far as what camera to get its hard to say, ive only used canon and naturally that what ill recommend, a full fra
