Colors seem totally fine to me on calibrated equipment. Could be one of several things on your end. Uncalibrated display. This seems kind of likely being it looks perfectly fine to me, but maybe your other photos looks different? Share some more examples if you can. Default camera profile in LR. I f

If you have no skills, you’re still likely to take lousy photos whether you have $100 worth of gear or $20,000 worth of gear. Once you have a certain level of skill, lower quality gear can absolutely hold you back, especially if you’re shooting fast-moving subjects or in low light. Sports photograph

I'm confused, why would the Mark III be worse in low-light? Do you need any of the more advanced video features of the III? Here's a comparison list of the feature differences. If not, and you really just want something like your original R6 but with less overheating issues, then the Mark II is a lo

Can't go wrong with either. I use the (much older) EOS R for a lot of the family and portrait work I do, and I find its 32MP resolution to be a nice little bump over the 20MP to 24MP sensors I've used previously, but it's not a huge difference. I'd personally spend the extra for the R6 III if I were

I love my Canon R but unless you really need the 30mp, an used R8 or R6 would be way better.

Personally, I would get the R6 MK II in your scenario. The EOS R is, as you noted, basically the same camera as your 5D MK IV but with slightly better AF and only one card slot. The R6 MK II will give you a second card slot, vastly superior AF, and IBIS. The body is about the same size as the R btw.

R8. No question. I honestly feel like these two cameras fall into a Nintendo Wii / Wii U marketing situation, where they look so similar that potential customers don't appreciate the absolutely massive differences between them, and Canon didn't really work hard enough to differentiate them in commun

A Canon R5 or R6 is significantly smaller and lighter while keeping most of the DSLR feel and ergonomics. RF has some good small primes like the 16/28/50mm. The other option is Sony's A7C series if you want the smallest camera possible, or the A7 series which is closer to a DSLR. There are plenty of
