Most photographers don’t need better gear, they need better taste
If you have no skills, you’re still likely to take lousy photos whether you have $100 worth of gear or $20,000 worth of gear. Once you have a certain level of skill, lower quality gear can absolutely hold you back, especially if you’re shooting fast-moving subjects or in low light. Sports photograph

Considering moving back to Canon from Lumix
Wouldn’t you know it, I shoot Lumix at my day job and own the Canon R6 Mkiii and C70 at home (the r6 and c50 share most of their internals and features, I believe the auto focus is exactly the same). So I’m pretty well read on this subject from both camps. So, for one: Are you just using the origina

Some of my favorite Austin birds from this past season!
Thank you very much! Some were shot with a Canon r6 mark ii, and some with a Canon r5 mark ii, but a Canon r7 should be more than enough for even better pictures! The lens was a Canon rf 200-800, and some were taken with a Canon ef 100-400 mark ii. You could get away with a ($600) Canon rf 100-400 t

What is considered a “professional camera”?
I have a Canon R3 and a Canon R6 and the R6 has turned out to be the right camera in most situations. Definitely don’t feel like you need an R3.

Canon adds a 32-megapixel sensor and 7K video to the new EOS R6 Mark III
I have good news on the first point, my friend: Canon isn't claiming any particular technological leaps with this sensor, but our initial testing shows that it has even faster readout speeds than the lower-resolution chip found in the EOS R6 II. The R6 III has some truly impressive rolling shutter r

And yet, I can use my Canon EF lenses interchangeably on my 2001 EOS 7 film camera; a 2016 80D DSLR; and a modern mirrorless R6 because those cameras are all 35mm sized and backwards compatibility has been maintained. Even the camera interfaces, exposure and metering modes are pretty similar.
