Canon C80/C400 vs FX3/FX6
Shooting a basketball doc right now with the C400, C50, and the Komodo X sometimes. The C400 and C50 are magic together and I assume the c80 as well. The codecs are beefy, the image is instantly gorgeous, and the bodies are miles above the fx6/fx3 for flexibility. The canon cinema cameras let me sho

Slowly becoming frustrated with the lack of innovation from Pentax
I got frustrated with the K1's auto focus performance when shooting live music in low light venues and decided to look for an alternative. I looked at the mid range mirrorless options from Canon, Nikon and Sony e.g R6ii, R8, Z5ii, A7iv. None of them have close to the K1's ergonomics or feature set.

Canon r6 mark ii or Nikon z6iii ?
Working wedding and portrait photographer here. After using a 28-70 f2, I could never let it go. My main body is an r5ii with r6ii as secondary, but to be honest, r5ii is overkill and the r6ii is incredible and never feels lacking, while performing noticeably better at higher iso. At this point, any

Should I switch from Fuji to Nikon?
i learned on an AE-1... the whole retro thing makes very little sense to me i have an X100VI but i like it for its size and what it can do in that small and easy to use package...not the way it looks DP review compared the Zf to a few other cameras The Canon EOS R6 II is still the camera to beat in

What's the deal with focus joysticks?
I use a canon r6 and r6 mk ii. I’m sure you can do this on at least some Sony bodies. You need to go into your custom button mapping settings, and in addition to setting your back buttons, set the shutter button to only act as the shutter release (default is set to act as metering and focus with a h

Everyday carry camera: R6 II + RF 28mm vs compact (X100VI, GR, etc.)?
If you don’t mind stashing it in a bag of some kind, like a sling or fanny pack, then the R6ii + RF28 is the lowest cost option and would have the benefit of your muscle memory from the day job. If you want a separate camera, you could also consider an R8 with the same lens and stay in the Canon wor

Canon R6 Mark II or Sony Alpha 7 IV?
Yes you’re “stuck” using Canons lenses, but they’re easily the best lenses on the market at any focal length. Also, with a $30 adaptor you can use any EF Canon, Sigma, Tamron, etc lens opening up the R6 II to thousands of lenses from multiple parties. And whoever told you Canon video was no good ate

RRS L-bracket for the R6 Mark III
Based on the camera dimensions being identical to the R6II and the R6, the L bracket we have for all R5/R6 cameras should fit exactly the same. However, we are waiting until either the R6 III comes into our office for our engineers to physically test, or for a customer to test the plate and confirm

No, I have not gone overboard on the Sigmas. Shut up!
Good question. My two mentors are Canon shooters, as are some of my photography heroes, so starting with Canon made sense. That said, I did take a long look at Nikon and Sony when I was ready to step up to pro gear. I didn't like the ergonomics of Sony. Not that they don't make great gear, they just

Recommendations ZFII Sony A7IV or Canon equivalent ?
For "good" ergonomics best you get to a camera store and handle them, especially with lenses on like the ones you'd use. No way to advise on that since it's a personal thing. The Canon would be an R6ii probably. Great camera too, but all three would work fine for you if not overkill. You're not a pr
