Anyone come from Canon?
I use Canon Mirrorless at work (R6ii) and shoot Nikon for myself for 10+ years. The canon is nice, for sure, better AF than the Mk 1 and 2 z6's, it can do 4k60 with almost no crop, very capable hybrid. Colors are pretty good, a bit cold overall. Lenses are nice, but the ecosystem is pretty locked of

Probably a lame question: How many of you use Leica for job and how many use just for fun?
A Canon R6MkII for professional work, Leica for fun and personal projects.

Second Camera Body
I just upgraded one of my R6 to a R6iii. It definitely is nice, but you'd have to buy some CFexpress cards and the new camera hates batteries that aren't the newest model of LP6. It gives warnings every time you turn on the camera with other real Canon batteries and won't turn on with 3rd party ones

Double down on Canon while moving to interview filming from photography?
You have pretty great camera for docs really, and w24-70 is great too The main problem with canon is that it’s expensive not underperforming. Now if you wanted 2 more R6ii or r6iii and 3x24-70… it gets pricy. R5m1 is overheating but the rest is rather fine. I doubt 70-200 will be that useful but wit

Is financing a camera a good idea?
A lot of people saying they would only do it if it was interest-free. If that’s an option, then there really isn’t a downside. Though, when I was in this scenario, I didn’t have those options available to me and I still pulled the trigger. It was the best decision I could have made. I was shooting o

No, I have not gone overboard on the Sigmas. Shut up!
Good question. My two mentors are Canon shooters, as are some of my photography heroes, so starting with Canon made sense. That said, I did take a long look at Nikon and Sony when I was ready to step up to pro gear. I didn't like the ergonomics of Sony. Not that they don't make great gear, they just

Canon Eos R8 or R6mkii for a hobbyist?
I chose the R6ii simply because I transitioned from Canon EF DSLR and wanted to use my collection of EF glass adapted on a mirrorless body. Some of the EF lenses did not have lens IS and I wanted IBIS. On top of that I had several LP-E6NH batteries from my 5D4 and 6D2 that would directly cross over

Should I buy the Canon R6 Mark ii OR Sony A7IV?

P10 Pro: do you use the 12 MP or 50 MP in your camera settings?
I have been a professional photographer for forty years. Shot digitally since 2000. Photoshop since 1995. There is a misunderstanding with MP. Native resolution is determined by the sensor size. My first ever digital camera was a Fuji S1 (or something like that) and had a full sensor with 5MP. I pri

Most photographers don’t need better gear, they need better taste
I live in Greater London UK. I purchased a beaten up pre-owned Canon R6 mk II in March 2023 while my Canon 90D was in for repair. The main dial is very stiff to turn. The Set button has started working intermittently. The weather sealing around one of the ports has recently broken off. Eventually th
