For what you want, it seems like the budget is if anything way too high. I pretty much use my equipment to make one tasty flat white/cortado a day, using the exact same beans, 18.7 g in, 40 g out, without ever having to change the grind size. The letdown here is that Breville doesn't offer an otherwise advanced unit w/o a built in grinder. I find Breville grinders to be where costs are cut the most. I had a Breville Oracle. Worked well but had a tendency to require expensive repairs. These days I would just buy a Bambino Plus with a separate grinder. You’ll get better results with a separate grinder so why pay for a machine that integrates one. And the Bambino heats up in only 3 seconds!
