Is Breville a good or bad place to start for a beginner? [$1000]

Breville’s great, though most people here won’t recommend a machine with a built in grinder. That one comes with a Smart Grinder Pro, which is great for most bean types specially if you’re into Italian espresso/based drinks. You could go for a Bambino Plus and spend the rest ($600ish) on a much bett

Buying my gf an espresso machine I know nothing about coffee [$300]

Breville Bambino Plus is convenient and just about fits the budget with some stretching. Can't go wrong at that price point, HOWEVER you may want to budget for a grinder to go with it as well

What’s the best bang for your buck: espresso machines [2024]

used gaggia classic pro is prob the best bang for buck imo. built like a tank, easy to mod later if u get obsessed, and holds resale value. paired with a decent grinder it’ll easily give you real espresso without spending breville dual boiler money. for something simpler, the breville bambino or bam

What was a very expensive item you bought which was really useful?

Quite a few things: Health things: Herman Miller chairs, I have both the Mira v2 and the Aeron Stool. Both excellent, and both critical in resolving the chronic back pain I used to experience. Custom mattress with adjustable base (it can sit up like a hospital bed). Again, helpful with back pain, an

Akala ko sale then pag checkout, boogsh 🥲

Saang Amazon to? US? Mahal talaga Breville kasi may import charges. Yung Bambino Plus ko, binili ko sa Australia before and sinabay lang pauwi ng Tita ko. If I were you, sa ganyang budget, kuha nalang ng Gemilai 3007Z and DF54 griner. You'd get more for your money. Kung Breville talaga gusto mo, sa

The fun of getting coffee out is long gone ..

I’m guessing adding some combination of shots + flavoring + alt dairy. Personally I got a decent machine and grinder and started reading up r/espresso. Factoring for the cost of the machine, grinder, dairy, coffee, beans, and flavoring, your break even is pretty quick vs a coffee shop. Breville Bamb

Crumbling shower head [Sage Barista Express]

I've seen many cases like this on brevilles, the black coating is some kind of non stick layer that ends up like this eventually, breville stated that it's still safe to use at this state. As a bambino plus user I will never consider a breville machine after seeing this, even on their best machines

What espresso machine did you start on, and would you recommend it to a beginner today?

I’m super new and bought a Breville Bambino Plus. I love it lol. However, I have to upgrade my grinder haha.
