Best starter espresso machine [$500]
The grinder matters more than the machine, and you should budget a decent amount for that too. You also will likely need to budget $100-150 or so for accessories like a scale, decent tamper, distribution tools, and in some cases a nicer portafilter and basket. Some recommended combos: De’Longhi Stil

Need Help Choosing Coffee Machine☕️☕️
Love the different views this topic will generate :) Barista Express (and most of the all-in-one Breville's) are good in the longish term. Parts fail and these machines have limited repairability. I have a refurb, and this is my second personal Breville machine, and 4th of their's I've bought/used o

Crumbling shower head [Sage Barista Express]
I've seen many cases like this on brevilles, the black coating is some kind of non stick layer that ends up like this eventually, breville stated that it's still safe to use at this state. As a bambino plus user I will never consider a breville machine after seeing this, even on their best machines

Barista Express/ Impress or La Specialista Opera? [500-620 USD]
I have no idea about wattage converting or warranty claims in south east Asia but out of these two machines the Breville is higher quality and will make better coffee. That said, as someone with a Breville Barista Express, if I were purchasing an entry level espresso machine again I would get a Brev

This or that? Comparing Breville espresso machines
The letdown here is that Breville doesn't offer an otherwise advanced unit w/o a built in grinder. I find Breville grinders to be where costs are cut the most. They feel and sound cheap, and in my experience grind inconsistently. Now I have a DF54 and it's been a rock solid performer with my Bambino

What is the Best Espresso Machine for daily use as of today 2026?
I’ve played with a lot of coffee equipment over the years. While I don’t have a breville on my coffee bar, I really like them! I used the Barista Pro for a while and think it’s a good machine for most people who just want some decent espresso. What I don’t like about it is the built in grinder. I’ve

Overwhelmed...make it simple for me
If you want to keep things simple (and keep your sanity), here’s the cleanest Bambino Plus setup Grinder: DF54 or Encore ESP. Super straightforward, very forgiving, won’t make you spiral. Portafilter: A 54mm bottomless. Makes dialing in way easier no more guessing if the shot is good or if the machi

My mom wants an espresso machine for her birthday, what’s a good beginner setup for complete newbies? [$300]
Breville Bambino. No need for the Bambino Plus. Makes great coffee, well built (though a bit small and cramped), fast heat-up time, strong steam production. Fits good in a small kitchen. You will need a separate grinder .
