[USA - TJ Maxx] Breville Bambino Plus for 80$
Well you saved a ton of money so don’t skimp on a good grinder. It all depends how deep in the rabbit hole you want to go. I have this same machine with Baratza Encore ESP and am happy with it. I use the grinder for everything from espresso to pour over. If you can afford a $5-600 grinder, do you. T

What grinder do you use, why, and how much did it cost?
Baratza encore esp. $160 on prime day a few years ago. Got it cause I'd had the OG non-espresso encore for my morning drip thanks to a wirecutter review, but I'd gotten more into espresso since then. The ESP was a familiar device and in the right price range for someone curious about the espresso wo

Recently fell in love with espresso. Would like a one and done setup if that's possible [ under $2,000 budget]
I use a Baratza Encore ESP grinder and a Sage Bambino. There are limitations to both but they’re a safe choice.

Can't decide what grinder is best for beginner? [$200-300]
Baratza Encore ESP, $199 new. It comes with 2 shims; if it doesn't grind fine enough, add 1 shim (very easy to install; youtube has multiple videos on this; it takes 90 seconds). This little machine holds its weight against my $1k+ grinder. I find myself going to the encore, esp. more often than not

Setup Recommendations [$500]
Here’s my entry level beginner friendly setup: - Bambino Plus- Baratza Encore ESP (grinds perfectly for espresso, drip, chemex, etc…)-Normcore Tools (WDT, Dosing Funnel, Tamper, bottomless portafilter, 18g basket)- Timemore mini scale (fits nicely in the bambino) This is more than enough (in my opin

Can't decide what grinder is best for beginner? [$200-300]
Yeah, I've loved my Baratza ESP Encore. Does everything from espresso to French press. Only downside is retention, but I can get most of it out using an aftermarket bellows.

Pour Over Coffee - Newbie Gift
So I have the Baratza Encore ESP the K ultra and ZP6. I would spend my money on the K6 grinder for half the money and it get excellent reviews. This leaves you money for a scale and there is no need to spend over $50 on a scale and there are plenty of good gooseneck kettles in the $50-75 range. I'm

If I get my first flat burr grinder will I miss out on ‘body’? (DF54)
I have a DF64 and Baratza Encore ESP. Don't overestimate the impact of the burr type. The beans matter much much more. Never lacked body on the DF if the beans allow it, but I've been missing clarity on the ESP for some beans. Don't overthink it, good beans well dialed in in any of those grinders wi
