Anyone Using Auratones?
Those are better than Avantones and possibly better than the Auratone reissues I have. I've had Avantones and they were bad except for PA purposes, and have Auratone reissues which work better mix-wise. Those will reveal the sound of your amp because there's so little to them. Single-driver speakers

Anyone Using Auratones for Mixing?
I haven’t found too many people who own the model of Avantone Mixcubes that I bought back in ‘09 (I’d love to know how they compare to the OG Auratones). They were the redesigned amp versions (after complaints of noise from the power supply on them) and came with signed frequency charts by Ken Avant

I unironically love the sound of a Mixcube
The literal Auratone reissue (or indeed original) over Avantone. The goal here isn't high sound pressure levels or lack of distortion, the goal is full range single driver reproduction and rapid sound dissipation, and the Avantone drivers are too rigid: they project sound loud and clear but they don

Unfortunately the Avantones don’t sound like Auratones do. But since you can still buy Auratones, just get them instead. But watch out for the Behringer fake-tones. No Auratones were ever made in China. They are ALL manufactured in the U.S. — all except the Behringer knockoffs. Avoid them, unless yo

Dubstep in Dolby Atmos

Lemme reiterate, I hate Dolby, not the people who enjoy their products :P And yeah a proper speaker setup compared to headphones is light-years ahead.... just hope you dont get into "audiophile" stuff ;P Also a weirdly fun fact:

best studio monitors
What you need is two sets of monitors. One set is supposed to be clean and clear with no phase or frequency surprises. This is for tracking. You want a clear idea of what you are putting to tape/DAW. The second set is what you mix with. It could be avantone/auratone mix cubes, Yamaha NS10s or maybe

I unironically love the sound of a Mixcube
Avantones are way better for being a powered design, for clean volume, and for making things sound good whether they are or not. This isn't the same thing as being a 'mixcube'. I would use Avantones all day long for demoing my music to people in a public space, and have done that and sold records of
