Well, the M4 Max 40C is about on par with a RTX4070 Mobile when the GPU can stretch its legs (when the game is GPU bottlenecked). I have been using Asus for 11 years now, all Rog laptops, 3 to be precise, 2014-2018, 2018-2022, 2022-present. I am tempted to buy the Zephyrus g14(wish they did the 15.6") but battery is crazy important to me alongside consuming media as in movie/TV shows and occasional gaming. Work is very importa

Just download CachyOS ISO, burn it to a USB drive and try it out. I just installed it on my Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and it ran great, even with its NVIDIA GPU. CachyOS itself is pretty optimized. I got less heat and more stable performance than on Win11. CachyOS even has MangoHUD and Optiscaler instal

Ok, so this sounds more software than hardware. The sounds less like malware, and like incorrect interactions between certain components. You’ve probably seen this a lot but the first thing you should do is: Update your bios to the latest version. https://rog.asus.com/us/laptops/rog-zephyrus/2021-ro

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ASUS_ROG_Zephyrus_G14_(2022)_GA402 This one? Seems like the AMD dGPU model. Seems to work well on Linux (not just archlinux). What I would be more worried about is the WiFi chip being sub optimal. EDIT: After a short search, it should be more streamlined without addition

I have never owned a Lenovo but I currently own an ASUS Zephyrus G14 I bought for school and I can not put in to words how annoying it is, constant driver failure and display issues with troubleshooting proving ineffective. Constant saving prevents the loss of work due to display failure (that is on

My main computer is a LG Gram 17, and all of the hardware except for the fingerprint reader worked 100% out of the box with Arch. Then my "travel laptop" is a 14" Thinkpad T14S Gen 1 and everything works out of the box there as well. My gaming machine is an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, though that's runni
