ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025)

Liquid metal was a bad idea by ASUS and frankly more of marketing stunt. Perhaps even planned obsolescence. After swapping LM for PTM7950, my G14 doesn't behave chaotic as it did all the time before. I saw some spots on the die, I think it was the CPU.

As a former G14 user and a current Legion user, bro what are you going to buy other than G14? Like seriously. HP? Acer? MSI? Razer? Gigabyte? Alienware? Damn. Check out my post about the same issue I had. Tldr is it's widespread through all 2024 g14 models, Asus denies the issue and I had to threaten to sue them to get mine fixed for free.

it all depends on what model you get, there were always bad thinkpads(i series, edge, etc) and good thinkpads(t and x series). my work laptop is an x1 carbon gen 12 and it feels sturdier than my 2021 macbook pro and survived more than my aluminum/magnesium alloy asus g14 2022
