Monitor for Mac mini m4
Love my asus proart 5k pa27jcv. It’s perfect for my setup. Terrible sound, incredible image quality, matte cover, a bit brighter than typical display. Type-C connection for iPad/MacBook, additional ports. Mostly perfect for work, but not that good for gaming

Monitor for photoe diting
One solid option worth checking out is the ASUS ProArt PA27JCV. It’s a 27" 5K IPS monitor that hits 99% DCI-P3, has solid contrast thanks to IPS Black (~1500:1), and includes thoughtful features like USB-C with 96W PD and a built-in USB hub. It’s pretty much tailored for creatives. And it's way more

Which 27" 4K monitor would you recommend for photo editing (with future printing in mind)?
The 5k Asus ProArt PA27JCV is what I would recommend.

Studio Display XDR Owners: Thoughts so far?
I wouldn't even consider the PA27JCV myself for mixed productivity or coding. The matte coating is heavier, reducing text clarity, and it is 60hz vs 165-180. The refresh rate IMO helps in coding because the display is more responsive and you can track text better as you scroll. My Kuycon G27Z came t

Studio Display XDR | Asus XG27JCG | Kuycon G27Z | (and a G27P) - A Display Personalities Comparison
For the apple studio display vs the pa27jcv which is a 5k glossy vs 5k matte comparison this is what rtings found: The pa27jcv monitor's text clarity is a bit worse than a 27-inch 5k display like the Apple Studio Display 2022. However, it's slightly better than a 4k 27-inch display with a regular ma

5k displays recommendations ...
I personally own a Dell U4025QW monitor – a great monitor, lots of space to work with, good color accuracy out of the box, pretty good response time and refresh rate. It works moderately well in bright rooms (in my case, light comes in directly through the window, not even directly onto the monitor,

Which 5k monitor to buy?
I don't know about the matte coatings, sorry. Since you have a MacBook, I'd say if you wanted a sure thing, get the Apple Studio Display. That said, of the 3 you listed, Rtings web site has only reviewed the ASUS and they thought it would be fine for editing: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/a

I’ve taken the position that a nice 4K monitor with high refresh rate (or 34” Ultrawide) will provide me a great user experience, over 5K slow refresh rate alternatives. Am I being reasonable?
I’ve spent the last few days researching 5K monitors now. Still trying to find a respectably priced used ASD. But now learned about the Asus ProArt PA27JCV and others. If I really want to stop gaming at my desk (except for when I’m playing switch 2 or ps5 around my house) and be more productive and

Mac Studio M3 Ultra Arrived Today
I haven't had any issues other than using a janky hdmi cable I had lying around. It would go black for like one second two or three times a day at random moments. I was using the Asus cable to my Windows laptop and flipping back and forth, Win to Mac for work. When I swapped the bad cable for an App
