Why so many monitors does not have Thunderbolt 4+ port?

The Thunderbolt issue is discussed here. You could however connect two monitors with one using USB-C and the other using DP to USB-C (see here). The 5K ASUS ProArt PA27JCV has a LuxPixel matte coating which looks very similar to Apple’s nano-texture. I felt the LuxPixel affected the whites too much

So there are no GLOSSY 5K@120 Hz option if I don't wanna spend 3K on the ASD XDR ?

I used a nano texture 2022 ASD before and I now HATE every matte panel. 5K doesn't look sharp. But you did like the nano-texture (NT) on the ASD? I checked the default ASD and the NT one. I didn’t like the NT, because of the grain on the whites and that it diminishes the otherwise sharp 5K image. I

What 27” 5K to wait for?

If you’re not in a rush, you might as well wait at least 5 to 6 months. Current 5K displays (that I know of): ASUS ProArt PA27JCV (IPS: 5K 60Hz, $598.54) strong matte coating (similar to Apple’s nano-texture) which to my eyes diminishes the sharpness of text. clean, minimal design (it has character

Well, since the awaited new Studio Display still sucks and is expensive af, what alternatives do you recommend?

Yeah that one is great. I have the gamer variant, the ASUS ROG Strix 5K XG27JCG (Strix 5K). Currently at €749, it is about the same price as when the PA27JCV (ProArt 5K) launched last year. The Strix 5K has up to 180Hz in 5K (currently macOS maxes out at 165 Hz, though). Gamut is a bit lower, but mo

What 27” 5K to wait for?

As I mentioned, I didn’t like the quite aggressive anti-reflective LuxPixel (LP) coating on the PA27JCV. I decided to check the nano-texture coating on the Studio Display next to the glossy one. I felt the nano-texture was visually very similar to the PA27 and the glossy was so sharp and colourful.

Best 6K matte alternative to Pro Display XDR for video editing/color grading in SDR?

I had the smaller brother of the ProArt, the PA27JCV. I compared the coating with Apple’s nano-texture, and though the technology is different, in practice they were very similar. The color profiles using the onboard controls or the DisplayWidget software is very convenient. Blacks were very deep. I

Asus ROG Strix XG27JCG (dual-mode 180/330Hz 5K 5120×2880 monitor) — review by Tom’s Hardware

I first had the ASUS ProArt PA27JCV. I really liked the design (stylish industrial looking) and the color profiles with the software, but it didn’t look that sharp to what I was used to with my earlier 27” 5K JAPANNEXT panel, which I used for 9 months but then malfunctioned. The matte on the PA27 us

Asus ProArt PA32QCV 32" 6K - first impressions

I just got the PA27JCV on sale from BH Photo and I'm so happy with it. I'm very happy with the matte finish, it is perfectly adequate for the lighting in my space. I was a little bit worried about going with another 60hz monitor, but I have no regrets about that either at the moment. Best of all I c

Monitor for Mac mini m4

Love my asus proart 5k pa27jcv. It’s perfect for my setup. Terrible sound, incredible image quality, matte cover, a bit brighter than typical display. Type-C connection for iPad/MacBook, additional ports. Mostly perfect for work, but not that good for gaming

Asus PA27JCV 5K monitor - what are the best settings for mac os x?

I bought it in March 2025 (in one of the Polish local stores). I do research before it was available checking site like https://www.displayninja.com for incoming 5K panels and then waiting for 5K monitor with KVM (I need it to switch between two computers). Apple's studio doesn't have KVM. ASUS was
