I used a nano texture 2022 ASD before and I now HATE every matte panel. 5K doesn't look sharp. But you did like the nano-texture (NT) on the ASD? I checked the default ASD and the NT one. I didn’t like the NT, because of the grain on the whites and that it diminishes the otherwise sharp 5K image. I

If you’re not in a rush, you might as well wait at least 5 to 6 months. Current 5K displays (that I know of): ASUS ProArt PA27JCV (IPS: 5K 60Hz, $598.54) strong matte coating (similar to Apple’s nano-texture) which to my eyes diminishes the sharpness of text. clean, minimal design (it has character

Who all is selling 5K, 600-nit full-screen brightness monitors with excellent speakers, built-in webcam, Thunderbolt/USB-C hub with 96W PD, 100% sRGB coverage, and ~90% Adobe RGB coverage for significantly less than $1499? Build quality and warranty/service is also a concern here. There are other 5K

I had the smaller brother of the ProArt, the PA27JCV. I compared the coating with Apple’s nano-texture, and though the technology is different, in practice they were very similar. The color profiles using the onboard controls or the DisplayWidget software is very convenient. Blacks were very deep. I

Yeah that one is great. I have the gamer variant, the ASUS ROG Strix 5K XG27JCG (Strix 5K). Currently at €749, it is about the same price as when the PA27JCV (ProArt 5K) launched last year. The Strix 5K has up to 180Hz in 5K (currently macOS maxes out at 165 Hz, though). Gamut is a bit lower, but mo

I first had the ASUS ProArt PA27JCV. I really liked the design (stylish industrial looking) and the color profiles with the software, but it didn’t look that sharp to what I was used to with my earlier 27” 5K JAPANNEXT panel, which I used for 9 months but then malfunctioned. The matte on the PA27 us

I have an Asus PA27JCV (5K), but I also have an LG UP850 (4K) that I gave to my wife, who uses it all day with her MacBook. Let me tell you, the Asus quality is just crap! It crunches like a rustling candy wrapper. Backlight bleeding is everywhere, and that's supposedly normal. When I tested it, eve

I received the monitor yesterday. Came in a box marked "(x2)" and big enough to hold two monitors. Sadly there was only one inside and lots of air bags. First impression was the display is glossy and I can see my reflection... which is the protective film :-). Removing that gives a screen very simil

For about $800, you could choose the Asus ProART PA27JCV, 27" at 5K. Some people don't like the matte coating on the Asus versus the Studio Display's glossy finish, but I have them sitting side by side as I write this and the Asus display looks equally as good. I'm mostly worried about text quality,

Hope you get an answer but I want to ask about your ASDs. I’m researching 5K monitors and I know the quality of the ASD, but I don’t need the speakers or webcam. I would use them if I could find an ASD used with VESA for $1000 or so, but no luck yet lol. There’s some newer models on the market like
