How Valve's desperation to escape Windows 8 turned it into a Linux powerhouse
The biggest thing console had was you turn it on, you start game you play game. With windows sometimes you fiddled and did other day to day stuff but it worked. Then Linux required a lot of fiddling and back then AI wasn’t there to help troubleshoot as easily. What people want is convenience and Ste

Best tiny client for 4k 120+hz
I see a lot of people suggest NUC PCs with Radeon GPUs in them. I'm not sure how much that has improved over the last couple of years but the last time I tried a NUC with a radeon GPU in it, the decode latency was awful. Like 20+ ms. So nearly unusable even though it supposedly supported AV1 and HEV

CyberGeek Brand
Cybergeek has a decent but unremarkable 30 day return policy and 1 year warranty. I see nothing bad with them. It is a very small brand with 3-4 models for sale and nothing using a recent processor. You are looking at the Nano L1 Zen 2+ 5700U model. Other than the minimalist white aesthetic, it does

AceMagic in 2025
My general recommendation for everyone buying prebuilt computers from any brand is to reinstall the OS because it is free and easy to do. Alternatively, for the incredibly lazy, run a windows full scan or malwarebyte scan which are free to use. Otherwise, I have been testing the Acemagic F3A, F1A, a

Horror stories putting me off
The downside of a raspberrpy pi is that sd cards dont last forever, especially when doing heavy reads and writes constantly (like an os does) they can die pretty frequently requireing changing. How cheap are we talking? I'm thinking if all you need to do is run some file server, transfer some files,

Looking for a Mini PC Recommendations?
The most heavy games in the list are probably both FOs and BL2. Any mini with 780m will run those at 1080p high no problem. Generally, if you wipe OS on a new mini - brand doesn't matter. But if we are talking about quality and brand recognition - Minisforum, Beelink, GMKtec. Acemagic, acemagician,

ACEMAGIC - M1 Mini Ryzen 7 7735HS - 2.5" Sata Bay?
M1 Mini pc is NVMe only. I ended up looking at the AM08 Pro instead when I had the same issue, it's the ACEMAGIC model that actually has the 2.5 inch SATA slot. Ryzen 7 8845HS, similar footprint, and you get the SATA bay plus the M.2. More flexible storage overall.

Acemagic M1 Ryzen 6800H experience so far
Acemagic M1 is my second hardware. I run linux on it and it's working solid with small noisy. I’m planning to migrate data from the old device and looking for the safest way.
