This may be a bit of a rant but here’s my perspective: The product XTEINK are busy selling is a small e-ink screen, not a book reader. The device is really cool because it’s minimalistic and pocketable but in order to be a book reader it lacks: decent epub rendering capability: it improved recently

I don't think the team that did the AMA has much to do with pricing. But yes, the whole thing was a bit underwhelming. "You don't understand, epub support is actually really difficult to implement" – and meanwhile I'm sitting here reading epubs on my tiny Xteink X4, running a custom firmware mostly

even better than a kindle, its an xteink x4. it’s pretty limited compared to a kindle but it’s perfect for simply reading and also the perfect size 😍

Ne vyloženě na tlačítkový telefon, ale pořídil jsem si malý eink reader xteink x4 a zkouším ho brát do ruky pokaždé, když mám pocit že potřebuju něco kouknout na telefonu, co samozřejmě nepotřebuju 😁 Jeho výhodou je fakt malá velikost, takže v pohodě nosím v náprsní kapse a samozřejmě výdrž baterky.

I have a Kindle Scribe and an Xteink x4, I use the Scribe at home and travel with the x4 as it’s more portable. I don’t know what I would do with 2 readers of the same size/model though.

You can read it quite comfortably. The built-in font actually supports multiple size options, so you can increase the text size without doing anything extra. In my case, I generated my own custom font because I prefer the same font I use on my Kindle Paperwhite. With my custom parameters — 34 pt, 45

Yeah sure it’s the Xteink X4. I use it all the time. It’s great!

ereader - samsung galaxy note 4, great phone, even better at reading books. get a proper ereader. There are plenty decent non-kindle variants around. If you want a small, super simple one, checkout the xteink X4. It's also very affordable. Your eyes will thank you.

Xteink X4. It's taking the e-reader community by storm, albeit a small storm, maybe just a gust. The original firmware is okay, but the community firmware is a lot better, it's called Crosspoint.
