Viewing Wyze cam other than phone app

The fix is to stop viewing through the Wyze app entirely and put the cameras behind your own RTSP/WebRTC layer, then throw a kiosk dashboard on the TV. Easiest route, no firmware flashing: docker-wyze-bridge (mrlt8 on GitHub). It logs into your Wyze account, pulls most cams (including the 2K/v4 stuf

frigate 0.17 isnt happy with my wyzecam for some reason

I was also using a Wyze Cam (v3) with frigate but switched away due to reliability issues like these. In my case, I saw errors like this because WiFi instability was causing packet loss and frigate (or rather, ffmpeg) was unable to decode the “corrupt” video stream.

How to power USB camera on a Landroid M?

Thin ribbon right angle USB cable - approx $4 on aliexpress, it tucks under the seal and outside. I have a Wyze Cam v3 connected with it (no photo it's night here!). Has worked fine for 3 years or so.

what firestick to buy to run tinycam pro?

I love it when people so confidently say stuff like "no it doesn't" or "you are wrong" without doing a little research first. go2RTC natively supports Wyze cams (locally) now, even without RTSP. It's better than the the new RTSP firmware because is also supports two way audio. I tested it on a Wyze

Firmware Updates - Released 7/15/2026

nice, been waiting for cloud recording on these for ages. the app not being ready yet is classic wyze though, they always split the launch like this at least the firmware is out so when the app drops i can just update everything in one go. hope the bug fixes are for that random disconnect thing, my

SD card playback not working after firmware update.

Totally agree about Wyze. I've been running Thingino on number of V3 cam but no support for the OG. Wyze-Bridge was decent for a while until it the api was broken. Never managed to get Cryze to work with the OG to support the Gwell backend. I started with Tapo C120 cams as an alternative a while ago

What the hell, Wyze?

It works great, as long as you have a reliable internet connection. RTSP firmware unchains you from having to use wyze services, you can use your cameras with whatever service you want that supports RTSP. Free services, paid services, anything. i run all my cameras up the the V3 Pan Cam, after that

campan V3 firmware?

They did not strip RTSP. They haven't removed any features of any cameras with firmware or otherwise. The notes on this say: Wyze Cam Pan v3 Beta: Version: 4.50.17.10 What’s New: Security improvements Network connectivity improvements

People who have left Wyze, what did you switch to?

Unifi cameras managed with Unifi Protect. I had run Unifi networking gear for years and my Dream Machine Pro router includes a hard drive bay and Protect built in. I have a mix of PoE and USB powered cams plus their Doorbell Pro. WAY better experience than Wyze. I still use some other Wyze products

r/wyzecam Giveaway – Celebrating Wyze Week

Currently have two Wyze Cam V3's. They are super simple to setup and are overall pretty reliable. They give us peace of mind that we can check on the house when we aren't home. Love that you can get the basics for free unlike other similar cameras from other companies.
