LPT: Keep a “nail in the coffin” list to stop repeating the same mistakes
My Wyze cam pans from my front door, to my grocery list, and all the way to the back door. My 4’ wide x 6’ tall chalkboard grocery list is extremely legible from anywhere on earth, and bonus points because the list is grocery store shaped / grocery store fire map is directly above it. It’s like a sh

Tapo TP-Link 2K Pan/Tilt cam or WYZE Cam Pan v3. Amazon has the Tapo on sale for $25 right now. You'll need to get an SD card for continuous recording, but then you'll be able to view it all in the app. I would suggest setting it to not record sound, just in case you're in a 2-party state, where rec

Bugs or drill?
Get a wyze cam from amazon and point it at the tree from a secret place inside to catch the culprit

I'm absolutely done with Wyze. What is a good reliable alternative?
Just getting into Wyze cameras. Had the pan duo cam for around a month now, it sits on the wall outside my garage. Also a Wyze cam OG outside the front door. Both have been awesome. It’s never skipped or missed any movement, even at -20°C. I didn’t buy the subscription service and I didn’t even sign

Remove Wyze’s grasp on your cameras for free forever with Thingino!
This is awesome! I quit buying any new wyze cameras after the V3 because I was so annoyed by the forced ecosystem lock-in as well as how badly they treated the HomeAssistant 3rd party integration development project. I quit buying new wyze hardware since that (switched to Reolink in case anyone is w

Unrecognized Uber To My House on My Account
This is just a suggestion for inexpensive cameras that I've used for a couple of years now. WyZe makes a great indoor/outdoor camera that you can get for around $25. You can either put an SD card in it that will allow you to review anything from the previous 3 or 4 days or you can pay about $2.50 pe

Done with cheap cameras
I use Wyze OG. They work for my 65g and 40g, so a 29 should be no problem. Easy to place with a sticky wall mount that I got from amazon. Also highly recommend you get an SD card to go with it so you can record timelapses without having to pay for a subscription.

Avoid RIU Palace Punta Cana
WYZE cam works for me, you can get it directly from them or on Amazon or eBay. Doesn’t require a monthly subscription and has basic cloud storage for events. Load up an SD card and you’re good to go.

what external cam are you using with your P1S?
I don't know what you mean about the wyze cams not being able to keep up. I've got a V4 and it's great. From what I know the v3 and the OG also have a solid frame rate. The problem was the focus. The lens can screw to change the focus length but you have to take it apart and break off the glue on th

Interested in your experience with outdoor cameras near your feeders!
I use a couple wyze v4 cameras on the fence feeding station and in the 2 squirrel nest boxes . And a wyze OG at the bird feeder. They all run SD cards, get great video and night vision. I use an outdoor holiday light 8 plug extension tower covered from the snow. On a GFI outlet. Even get a Northern
