The issue is that starting with the Wyze Cam 4, Wyze has deliberately locked cameras from being able to flash a different firmware. Unfortunately there is no known way to go around it at the moment.

It just won't work reliably. I've been playing with solar since the first Wyze cam was introduced. Solar panels work great on battery cams. Hardwired cameras have a MUCH larger power appetite so you need batteries in the system and a panel big enough to both power the camera and charge the batteries

This is just a suggestion for inexpensive cameras that I've used for a couple of years now. WyZe makes a great indoor/outdoor camera that you can get for around $25. You can either put an SD card in it that will allow you to review anything from the previous 3 or 4 days or you can pay about $2.50 pe
