I'll never get over the fact that we have actual rabbits in our house and that sometimes I get to see stuff like this.
I got the Winix C545, it's inexpensive and does a great job with it's 3 filter system. I bought them refurbished off of the Winix website. Definitely worth it for $99 a pop.

DIY Attempt Finished 2 MERV 14 filters 8 case fans.
I didn't make the point in this thread, but on another - I'm not sure why anyone is comparing retail priced units against a CR-style DIY box. C535 from Winix, new, at costco is on sale periodically for $99.Another that sold out is the C545 for $69.99 at Winix direct, which just sold out last week. F

OdorLock Update - Dusty
I have a Winix C545 next to each LR. They don't have a lot of carbon, but my odor is really well controlled with the LR, the OdorLock, and the Ammosorb I add to the litter.

Air Purifier help
I have the Winix C545 and it works great. I have two conures and two cockatiels and it handles the cockatiel dust well. You have to make sure the PlasmaWave is always turned off as it can be harmful to our birds. Make sure any purifer you get has the ability to turn off the ionizer if it has one.

Is the Winix C909 good for pets?
Purifiers aren't good at reducing pet hair, as it's very large and heavy compared to something like PM2.5. However, purifiers are certainly better for pet dander. The Winix C909 (buy it at Costco.com!) is definitely more powerful than the C545. But the C909 will do nothing for gases, vapors, or odor

Recommendations for bedroom purifier?
I have had good success with refurb winix units directly from winix. Used to be a better deal tho as now the c545 refurb is 79.99. For 80 bucks it’s still a good air purifier If you have a Costco membership and can stretch you could always pick up a c909 it’s a lot of air purifier for what your need

Purifier for dust + dust mite allergies?
Don't know if you caught this in the sub's wiki, but... Dust mites can be controlled by reducing relative humidity (RH) to 50% (one study suggests 45%). So you'd need a dehumidifier. You may still have higher humidity in bedding, mattresses, pillows, seated furniture, etc. where dust mites could sur

Best air purifier under $125 for cat hair?
Prefilter is huge here. My winix's get so much cat and dog hair its great - but they're literally 1" from their respective beds. It wouldn't be that effective otherwise. But it helps you keep the primary filters clean. I'd recommend any medium sized filter that's rated for ~320sqft aham and up. Run
