I got the sn7100 4tb ans also evo plus 990 in 4tb. Sn7100 is better suited for a handheld use under high loads. Pulls less watts underload runs cooler. 990 plus 4tb has better aspm power draw on idle. Under load it pulls more power and creates more heat. On idle it conserves the battery better. Get

Most people are responding to back buttons which I don’t use. I’ll respond to SSD. So I was going to buy the 990 pro until I realized it takes more power, which means less battery life. I went with what was certified for use with it which was the western digital SN7100 (actually the SN7100x is the o

The wd black sn850x is gen 4 by 4, don't go on Flipkart item descriptions, they aren't accurate at all,and if you think you are getting gen 5 on the crucial, it's not gonna be useful,as your laptop supports only gen 4 and gen 5 drives run hotter and consume more power, so go for the sn850x,or if you

Slap me silly and call me Willy (copyright M539 Restorations on YT), I cleaned both NVMe slots, and the one not working now works at 3.0 X4 with the PM981a, and 4.0 X4 with the SN7100. THe one working at X1 is still at X1 speeds, though, but at least it's a step in the right direction. Effin' dirty

The best in class right now is probably SN7100. High performance at low power draw which is important both for battery lasting and lower temperature. Those are available in 2280 form so you would need an adapter for LeGo1 (LeGo2 takes 2280 without any modifications).

The final stable release of Cosmic 24.04 LTS is the 11th of this month so dont worry too much about that. Its on kernel 6.17 currently and is very compatible with your AMD hardware. I am awaiting the T14 Gen 6 AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO laptop I ordered last month to arrive, which i had custom configured to

The SN7100 is brand new from WD. These just came out last month. As for compatibility, it meets all of the requirements for PS5, so there’s no reason for why it would give me any trouble. https://driveshero.com/ps5-m2-ssd-compatibility-list/
