To the POS who hit my car in the PetSmart parking lot in Mohegan Lake on Saturday...

VIOFO a329s I think. Im not entirely sure of the model but I think that’s it. They make a few 3 channel options. One has a telephoto instead of interior so don’t get them mixed up. I also use the VIOFO battery. When setting up parking mode, be sure to use a timelapse setting. The low bitrate option

Best Dash Cam for Ioniq 6 (Standard Range)? Low power consumption & Park Mode is a must!

All parking modes are the same in terms of them working based on a low voltage cutoff that you define. There isn't any concern about the car throwing errors from this with any brand. There's also a time-based cut off in many cameras, but that's kind of useless IMO. You have a few things to be concer

What is a good dashcam to buy for a new driver?

Viofo is a good brand. Depending on budget, look at their A119 series for front only, the A129 front+back as a good middle ground, or the A229 Plus front+back as a really solid choice. There's also the A229 Pro and the even more expensive A329 which both record in true 4K, but that's probably overki

BZ4XE Accessories?

I use a VIOFO A329. Very good quality. Got it hardwired for parking mode when out and about. Whatever can you use, you’ll want it hardwired or on a dashcam battery so that you can use parking mode.

Buy a dashcam

So true. First one I got was in 2016, a Garmin NuviCam LMTHD. I balked at it initially as it was $520. In March 2017, I was reversed into and without the dash cam, my insurance would have gone up a lot more than $500 over the span. Well worth the price at the time. It’s hard driving now without one.

101 S accident today - stay off your phone

No complaints! I have the 2ch version (front + rear). I used the Viofo hardwire kit so i have a working parking mode which is nice. The newer A329 is a little bit better in small ways, like a thinner cable to make routing easier under trim/headliner, and support for a 3ch mode that includes a teleph

Accidentally bumped a parked car and left — what actually happens afterwards?

They aren't cheap and aren't 100% perfect, I've got a Viofo A329s but my A129 pro also had a parking mode (didn't catch someone hitting my car). I know Blackvue also have a similar tech but you're looking at over £200 for one

VIOFO A229 Pro hardwired causing Kia battery discharge warning every morning. HK4 or battery pack?

I would not use a hardwire kit that doesn’t have a voltage cutoff. It risks draining the battery too much and being unable to start the car. I suppose it’s also possible a cheap, poorly-designed hardwire kit could draw more current than the Viofo kit even while the dash cam is switched off. I’m not

[Buying Advice] DDPAI Z90 Master vs VIOFO A329S - Parking mode, power drain

Don't know about that other brand but I have Viofo A329S and I like it a lot. It also supports large SSD which you can hide inside the car if your cam gets stolen. Parking mode power hungry? I don't think so. It depends which parking mode you choose. Personally I use hybrid low bitrate impact mode.

best car dash camera for everyday driving and parking safety?

Follow up: ordered from VIOFO A329S 4K 3 Channel Dash Cam and decided it was the most complete setup for both driving and parking coverage. Hoping the installation is straightforward and it runs reliably day to day.
