Bought a DXP2800, can I upgrade to 32 GB Ram?

Dang! $400!! That cost more than another DXP2800. Anyway, according to another Reddit post, users have had success with 32gb. https://www.reddit.com/r/UgreenNASync/comments/1mbnlju/dxp2800_ram_upgrades_beyond_16gb_share_your/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_butto

What gives? My NAS doesn't reach the advertised speeds of 1000 Mbps. Stuck only at 100 Mbps.

TL;DR - Every device on my LAN network can reach 1000 Mbps, except my NAS, which only reaches 100 Mbps. I've tried different cables, switches, router ports, and delved into the command line and trying to force high speeds with `ethtool`. No luck.

EDIT 2: I ended up returning my NAS due to its faul

They value the TOS system more! It's already better than many.

Honestly, TerraMaster has been improving a lot. They fixed many issues . I’ve been running TOS 7 Beta and it’s solid enough for daily use. Not many companies actually care about making good products anymore, but TM does. I also have a Ugreen DXP2800, but that Kickstarter for their AI NAS was a disas

DIY or Buy

You can often build a similar or better performance system that supports a larger number of drives for the same cost as a pre-built. Ie for the cost ofa UGreen DXP2800 2 bay N100 NAS @ $389usd you can build a 6 Bay N150 system with twice the ram and a 128GB NVMe for the OS for $385usd, you still nee

First time NAS

Congratulations. I emailed ugreen after looking at dxp2800 and they replied that plex emby and jellyfin are supported but they didn't clearly said if Toshiba MG10 series drive is supported by it or not. On their compatibility list Toshiba enterprise drives are not listed. Cheaper dh2300 they said do

Cheap setup to learn TrueNAS basics before major investment

The problem with using cheap as your only requirement is that chances are if you decide to really use it, it wont meet your actual storage and usage needs. Are you using this as file storage, to host apps/vm’s/services, for media/large file storage, etc? What sort of networking do you need…1Gbps, 2.

UGREEN NASync DH2300

The DH2300 is not indicated for Docker. It's really low on specs, if possible, buy a DXP2800. The Docker app is not avaliable anymore in Ugreen OS, they removed from DH2300. There's a workaround now, but who knows until when will be possible.

i read the controversy with 25.10.2 and hdd, i have a question

You are in r/truenas that’s either enterprise gear or people turning cheap hardware from the yesteryear into a NAS. That Ugreen DXP2800 is a $400 2-bay unit that comes with its own OS. Far out of the price range of a cheap $30 PC case and a used $150 Supermicro X10SLM-F with CPU + $20 worth of RAM.

To former Synology User: any regrets after switching to Ugreen?

The backup killed it for me... and I'm not saying you can't make it work. You can do so much with docker and side loading things. However, it's just more complexity. Synology I just open the native app point it configure it and then once a quarter I test my backups and it's just worked for years. Ne
