DXP8800 Plus

I’ve never heard that before. I have all HDD bays populated on my UGreen DXP8800 Plus and both M.2 slots populated as well. No issues.

I have little experience with QNAP NAS solutions—I have one of their switches and it's great—but I do have a DXP8800 Plus and for your needs, UGOS should be fine. UGREEN also will continue to support the hardware if you install a different OS on it (e.g., TrueNAS, Unraid, Ubuntu Server, etc.).

The UGreen DXP models are sort of the best of both worlds because they don’t lock the OS. It’s functionally just a computer that you can install anything you like on. I’ve got a DXP8800 Plus. Didn’t even bother with their OS, immediately installed TrueNAS. I put in 96GB RAM, 2x 4TB nvme SSD’s for us
