Explain your decision on new upcoming UgreenNASync kickstarter options

The Pro is what i would buy and would be exactly what i wanted for a NAS. But i bought a DXP6800 Pro a few weeks ago to replace my Synology and i am having a bad time with it and already sold the Synology, so i can't go back. The DXP6800 Pro is loud and the cpu is constantly reaching 100º Celsius an

[BUG REPORT + diagnosis] UGOS Pro 1.16.0.0089 silently zeroed POSIX permissions on my shared-folder roots — Docker breaks, the GUI shows you a comforting lie, recovery is a forensic exercise

I have a 6800 Pro. After the latest update I’m having major SMB problems. Folder structures won’t load. They won’t load in the Files app either. I’m not great with terminal coding stuff. I hope UGreen releases a patch soon.

Dxp6800 pro and b50

Ugreen ugos doesn't see the pcie gpu apparently. But I'm going to install unraid off the bat. I just wanna see if anyone has done this. It's expensive. About $700 for the gpu/mod. If it doesn't work right I'd rather just get an a310 that everyone seems to do here and is happy with in the 6800 pro. P

One Room Apartment Overkill

I had the dilemma of a ugreen nas's a couple months while back, the price of those ugreen HDD containers are cool, but when you price out a dirt cheap ryzen 5000 build with 16gb of ddr4, it turns out to be cheaper and more versatile than getting the DXP6800 Pro 6-Bay, just looked back on my amazon o

Opinions on DXP4800 Pro

Why are NAS so expensive

You're paying for the engineering that they put into the enclosures and the manufacturing cost for them. You're also paying for the development of the software that runs on them. But yeah there are plenty of people who build their own. Some paid software options exist and some free software options

First Time NAS setup UGREEN 6800 Pro

I got my hands on a DXP6800 Pro test unit directly from UGREEN on the understanding that I’d be using something other than UGOS. So far I’ve tried ZimaOS, TrueNAS, HexOS, and Unraid, and they all behave the same way: the system runs for about 5 minutes, then shuts down and reboots. I contacted the U

DXP4800+ thermal throttling fix on custom OS

I'm having overheat issues with my DXP6800 also. Even after new paste and aggressive fan settings, after a few weeks my temps are peaking again and throttling has once again showed up. I added this monit sensor to detect when throttling occurs, since it's not always obvious (I'm using plain Debian)

GPU (Nvidia) passthrough

I posted about this yesterday, although initially in docker. But I touched on it down below in the thread. So far I don't see a way to pass through the GPU, at least using the UGREEN UGOS Default Virtual Machine Manager software. DXP6800 Pro - Docker - NVIDIA HW Transcoding : r/UgreenNASync

How long will UGreen NAS get security and major software updates?

I am looking for a new (first) NAS and Ugreen 4800+ and DXP6800 Pro caught my attention . I was seriously considering this NAS, but the short time of updates is not good.I know we can put other OS on it, but i still want to stick with it's own OS. Also considering a lot of the price is also for soft
