Explain your decision on new upcoming UgreenNASync kickstarter options
The Pro is what i would buy and would be exactly what i wanted for a NAS. But i bought a DXP6800 Pro a few weeks ago to replace my Synology and i am having a bad time with it and already sold the Synology, so i can't go back. The DXP6800 Pro is loud and the cpu is constantly reaching 100º Celsius an

My overheating CPU story and happy ending - DXP6800 Pro
That is a horrible pasting job! Holy crap. I too went down a bit of a rabbit hole of cooling my DXP6800 and in the end discovered a number of things I could fix. Replaced the fans with higher quality ones. The stock ones aren't bad but they don't move near enough air. I initially installed Noctuas b

Ugreen DXP4800 Plus annoying vibration **SOLUTION**
Nice! I actually printed out the tabs linked in this post and was amazed at how much of a difference that made on my DXP6800 Pro. They went from super annoying rattling/grinding noise to something MUCH quieter. I'm extremely happy that I printed them.

Images saved in media folder. How do I remove them and put them in a separate location?
Hmmm, true reading shouldn't induce to much wear and tear. I just want to do it for optimization. My disks are set to not spin down. When i do nothing the sound is ok. You do hear them slightly especially at night when everything is quiet. When my ARR stack is automatically transferring movies from

Before the AI NAS Arrives, What's Your Setup Plan?
I have built two homelab brew-your-own-NAS, one with Proxmox on bare metal (30TB RAIDZ6/18TB usable from passthrough OpenMediaVault VM) and one with TrueNAS Scale on bare metal (RAIDZ6 50TB usable in two pools) - the second while I was waiting for my DXP 6800 Pro. The UGreen DXP 6800 Pro (20TB RAID

Images saved in media folder. How do I remove them and put them in a separate location?
For me personally i do not notice a performance issue while scrolling through my library in Jellyfin. But i've got a pretty powerfull NAS with 3x 16 TB ironwolf pro's in raid 5 (Ugreen DXP6800) I would do it to reduce noise a bit while scrolling through my library and to reduce wear and tear of my H

Abnormal fan sounds dxp 6800 pro
From what I've been able to gather, the stock PSU controls its fan and there is nothing you can do about the on/off behavior outside of changing the entire PSU. I ended up taking the PSU apart and replacing it with the Noctua NF-A4x20 as suggested in this thread. Once the PSU warms up the fan still

Question on power recovery
My UGREEN DXP6800 PRO supports APC, Cyberpower, (I tested with both just this past week), so it looks like they support the standard USB interface, also NUT as a client. (Warning: EcoFlow is not standard) You can just plug it into one of those via USB, it'll prompt you to set up the UPS preferences.

Replaced UGOS with Unraid and not looking back! See image
I have never run UGOS on my Kickstarter edition DXP6800 Pro LOL. unRAID since day one. You could do worse than read some of my findings regarding cooling and fan control. Highly recommend CoolerControl for managing your fans on this platform as by default unRAID does nothing with them. Also, make su

Thinking about downsizing
How many drives do you have? If it is for plex why not get a DXP4800 plus? Can run your own os, cpu will be plenty for sharing files and the quick sync will smash plex transcoding. It's small, quiet and efficient. An i9-9900T and 64GB ram just seems massively overkill, its going to produce unnecessa
