Kickstarter campaign “dynamic pricing”

Very good chance I just try and get my $30 refunded. I have 2 DXP4800 Plus units now, so this, while a nice upgrade, isn't really a necessity for me. And if they are moving the goalpost and no longer have guarenteed pricing for the pre-order, I think it's time to wash my hand of the situation.

My DXP 4800 Pro just arrived 😍

Congratulations - even the Pro Version. Great future proof pick! Out of the box my DXP 4800 Plus was very loud when hard disk was working. You can add some rubber (or silicon feet) on the bottom - https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CVHCXYK3 Replace the Fan with a Noctua - https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07655KF5C

DXP4800 Plus drive and upgrade advice

I’m running a DXP4800 Plus fully built out, so here’s some real-world feedback. Drives: 12TB is a solid starting point, but if budget allows, bigger drives age better. I’m running 4×24TB WD Red Pro and noise/heat are totally manageable with the stock chassis (I did swap to a quieter fan). In practic

So it begins.

I’ve got this, and got my gf the DXP2800. The DXP4800 Plus is solid. It looks great, performs well. I originally got it with the plan to run Unraid but the UGREEN software has been fine for what I’m doing, so stuck with it. Even the UGREEN mobile app is good.

To former Synology User: any regrets after switching to Ugreen?

I went from a Synology DS1621+ to a uGreen DXP4800 Plus. Quick review on the uGreen : Hardware is great, software sucks. If the Synology software is a 100, the uGOS software is a 20. So, I installed Unraid on it and have been real happy with it.

CM846 4 bay DAS expansion

It hasn’t been released so afaik we don’t know a whole bunch of how exactly it works. It is their first DAS so 🤷🏻‍♀️ based on my experience with the dxp4800+, I assume it’ll work pretty well and it might be missing a few features that will get added with updates.

Sure: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1404753-ugreen-dxp4800-plus-10-rack-mount The 4800 plus is exactly the same size as the “plain” one. Keep in mind the power brick is larger on the non-plus version, I think someone posted a design without the brick holder part, or you can just mesure and modify

Looking for a 4Bay Nas that'll allow me to install Ubuntu, consider the WAF (wife approval factor)

I bought a little Ugreen DXP4800+ and installed TrueNAS on it. The warranty allows you to install any OS you like so that’s nice. It’s been great, I also didn’t want to mess with building another system either and I love the small form factor. The GF approves in a big way.

Moving Away from Google Drive → Home NAS (UGREEN?) for Photos + Blu-ray Rips — Looking for Validation & Advice

I bought UGREEN DXP4800 Plus on sale a month ago. Software isn’t really user friendly so I installed xpenology OS - way better experience. Also added extra 8gb ram, 1tb ssd for cashe and replaced original fan with Noctua for better performance and silence. Hardware part is really good, cpu is fast,

Noctua NF-B9 redux installed

I just stuck a P14 Pro in my DXP4800+ and wow does that move more air. Its like twice as much air coming out between the drive slats.
