OpenClaw is now available on UGREEN NAS!
u/UgreenNasyncSo you guys think it’s a good idea to add support for an AI model that has been flagged for security issues, while refusing to update docker engine itself to fix some very serious vulnerabilities?? I thought Ugreen cared about security

OpenClaw is now available on UGREEN NAS!
Sorry UGREEN but this is a bad direction to be heading in. We don't want further AI bloatware on our NAS, the UGREEN AI models for photo management are enough...giving the users capabilities to integrate other AI services like Openclaw agents is a terrible idea and I see it being a security concern

Community Update: The Mod Team's Conversation with Ugreen About iDX Pre-orders
Thanks for the update, and for lobbying on our behalf. I sincerely hope UGreen “does the right thing” on this launch! The public relations damage on this one, at least as it’s currently designed (free for all, first come, first serve, pay full price, refund you some day down the road, etc.) is a nig

No encryption?
It’s not encrypted, and it’s currently not possible to encrypt it only option you have is to use the vault app - it is on their roadmap but looks like its low priority as its been pushed back from last year it seems, the data should be safe otherwise unless someone has physical access to the machine

Ugreen photos
They can’t even give us a shortcut option. They have not fixed or added anything over the last 6months since I posted my review: https://www.reddit.com/r/UgreenNASync/s/3AinlejiIJ

[HELP WANTED] UGOS Pro exposes any secrets you have in /home by recursively resetting directory permissions
Similar issue to the one I'm describing here: https://old.reddit.com/r/UgreenNASync/comments/1qc9skb/new_firmware_version_11210002/nzifbuz/ I have the feeling it might have something to do with the way that ugreen (badly) uses ACLs, but I'm not sure.

What a joke!
Honestly the cpu on the ugreen NAS isn’t anything special for AI use. Just a middle of the road intel processor. If AI is your primary goal I’d look elsewhere

PSA Ugreen does not allow RSYNC backup to be restored to other devices because of encryption which cannot be disabled and to which you do not have the key. If this is your only backup of your data, you will lose it if the nas fails.
Im talking about backup to a remote server, Its different for external SSDs you attach to the nas, if you backup via rsync to a remote server, the backup is encrypted and can only be decrypted and restored to your ugreen nas. If you restore it to another device, its useless encrypted gibberish. If y

Been stuck for a few weeks now (i believe its a networking issue) and am hoping someone can help!
Jellyfin uses port 8096. Ugreen nas implementation of jellyfin uses port 40043, for some odd reason. Assuming you're using the ugos version, rather than your own version with your own compose file, you may need to point the apps on other devices to the correct port, or else get rid of the ugos versi

Poor Read/write Performance on 4800+ with Raid10
No joke. It's been a long work in progress. Last year, you couldn't even add drives to expand the array because it was so janky. Maybe you could do what that other guy said and add an SSD cache, but my headaches went away when I switched operating systems. I got tired of saying, "you've gotta be kid
