If you're near a Microcenter, this is going to be the best you can get within that budget: https://www.microcenter.com/product/692536/ubiquiti-unifi-dream-router-7-desktop-10g-cloud-gateway-with-integrated-wifi-7,-poe-switch,-microsd-storage Also, if you have coverage issues, the Dream Router 7 is c

Hubs: Use the ZBT2 or whatever Zigbee dongle you'll be using for Zigbee only and get a Nest Hub Max for Thread. Better yet, get a POE Zigbee coordinator for better stability. Switches: Just use regular smart switches... Climate: Avoid Tado and there lack of consumer respect and go with Drayton Wiser

There's a little bit to unpack here...... You are not technically using a "wifi provider". You are using an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that is providing you with a device that has Wifi capabilities (ie. router, wireless gateway, access point, etc..) Where I work, we've had a handful of customer

That’s probably the best option if you need a couple extra Ethernet ports. You will also need POE injectors for the two APs. UI sells a regular POE injector for $8 which is all you need for the U7 Lite. My only other suggestion would be a UniFi Express 7 which has an AP built in, with 6 GHz, to boot

UniFi Express 7 is pretty much perfect if they want a router built in also.

I like to upgrade with UniFi hardware I bought a newer Orbi system. Uh. So, you went Orbi? Mesh is normally not a great way to connect (ethernet is significantly better), but given you're only getting 60Mbps it's probably more than enough. Multi-hop is going to probably cause a lot of challenges --

The idea is to not have to run CAT # (necessarily). I want mesh not hub and spoke. So I’ll likely get a UniFi Express 7 as it has a separate power input? I’m sorry, I’m not well versed in Ubiquiti’s ecosystem. To be blunt, I don’t know what CloudKey, a Cloud Gateway or run the UniFi console mean. I

If your flat has FTTP then all you need to do is run an Ethernet cable from the ONT to a cloud gateway so you don’t need the ISP’s router. Which ISP are you using? The UniFi Express 7 contains a built in access point too, that and the Dream Router 7 are the only (current) ones. Don’t look at the old

I would (as others have suggested) replace the ISP router with a Cloud Gateway Max or fibre. You’d have to do a bit of research on how this plays with Talk Talk, I have Sky with an Openreach ONT (which has an Ethernet port) and it just worked instantly with no need to change any settings on the devi

Thanks for the suggestion! PoE is a factor as are some features the XGS provides that I’m interested in. Additional MIMO for 5Ghz, spectral analysis, zero wait DFS, etc. I’m also going with the Cloud Gateway Fiber, basically mimicking how I have my Meraki network setup (except all multi-gig with gat
