Decos causing phones and other devices to drop in and out of wifi very often.

I have and do have the same issue.. i have tried so many different configurations and nothing works. I have the BE95, the wifi 7. It will work well for a time and then i notice the stutter in my devices. Or if you have a temperamental vpn it drops. I now have the mesh network and another network on

Should I bother updating home network to mesh routers (wifi7)?

Did you look into the BE85? You don't need that fourth band if you're going to use wired backhall. I haven't heard quite as many stability issues with it as the BE95. Kind of crazy that Tp-Link's top of the line Wi-Fi seven system is less stable than their bottom of the line and mid range ones.

Deco BE85 security updates ceasing in September 2026

Check all of TP-Link's routers. They're not good with providing timely firmware updates or fixing security issues or bugs . Some routers never get updates, while others, like the BE95 go more than a year between updates.

BE95 Decos only use wireless backhaul

I have now tried all ports but the backhaul continues to be wireless. TP-Link has said that the BE95 is either wireless or wired and it "detects the ethernet backhaul cable automatically". I would not have purchased the BE95 if it did not have the wired backhaul capability. I have now tried connecti

BE95 green light, not connected to internet.

I ended up getting a new Deco BE63, will be using that from now on and hope it's better than the BE95. I wasted more than 5 hrs trying to get the BE95 as my main node... No dice, my older Deco was easier to set up and switch between main and secondary nodes...Will probably stop using TP-Link product

Best WiFI7 access point -- don't need router function

Depending on your needs, the price might be the sticking point. One thing I am looking for is a quad band AP with dual 6Ghz bands available, but outside of desktop units I don't see much available right now. In any case, I think this is all bit much for what anyone here is asking for. A desktop unit

TP-Link Wi-Fi 7 router under $250 - is 10G port worth it for 500 Mbps internet?

Stay away from tp-link. As somone who bought the BE95 i eventually turned it off and used old netgear nighthawk

Some crazy good PCVR deals on Steam right now !!!

This is a VR streaming solution only. Don’t try to use it for anything else. That said a dedicated router with only a single client does function much better for virtual desktop when compared to a shared Wi-Fi connection. Even on a high-end router. The Puppis is more consistent than my TP Link WiFi

BE85 lost internet connection. Possible yellow light?

You're welcome and was an idea. My BE95's and BE85's the same TP-Link did some updates that partially fix the DNS issue, but only partially. No updates in 11 months for the BE95 which behave entirely like your BE85. Since TP-Link obviously isn't fixing these and other critical issues, dumped mine an

Mesh system upgrade suggestions

I vote for Option 1 - “Keep what I have”. For 500mbps internet service, WiFi 6 is sufficient. Unless you have a TON of WiFi 7 devices, there’s no real reason to upgrade.. and even if you do have many WiFi 7 devices, the ASUS XT12 is very nice and still has life left. That’s a premium WiFi 6 mesh sys
