None of those supposedly gigabit capable systems will be able to handle actual gigabit speeds. Gigabit ports cannot sustain full gigabit speeds due to overhead, and Wi-Fi five and six, especially on the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, can't really do it either. Agreed. I have the Deco BE95, and it has a lot more horsepower and more RAM than the BE25, as a result I only see a 80-100 Mbps drop in speed (2.85 Gbps w/VPN vs 2.95 + Gbps w/no VPN). The Deco BE25 is a very very low end router.

The BE25-Outdoor will work inside with no issues, but for the same price, you can get a 2-pack of the indoor Deco BE25.

Got the Deco BE25/BE5000 after trialling the Mercusys H23BE as I found the Mercusys rather underwhelming. Unfortunately, the Deco doesn't seem to fare any better despite being rated for 5Gbps (over the 3.6Gbps for the Mercusys). I get pretty much the same speed and signal strength. Feels like I just
