Moka pot suggestion
Spending 1k on scale is not justifiable, a 250₹ scale will work fine. You don't need a grinder right now, use pre ground coffee from Mokka Farma, Blue Tokai sample pack for now. If you can save money, get a Timemore C2s, or Aashonee is also fine.

Grinder recommendations
Whats your budget?? If it's 6k go for timemore c2s or c3s. If it's more go for izpresso or kingrindek6 But if you are a beginner and just starting. Timemore itself will be a really good option. The c2s is only 4800 rupees and it'll be a really good starting point for you

Timemore C2 - 3 yr review - I'd still recommend this now
thank you for the review, and I agree that the C2 was a nice grinder at its time but, now in 2026, it is much outdated, and can not be recommended anymore - mainly due to plastic in its body, which ages and tends to crack, after years of daily usage for a very similar money, Timemore has already rel

Gift suggestions around 10k
You mentioned that they love coffee and have tried all kinds of things. The most value for money way to give them something they would not only be value for money but they would also cherish is long-lasting coffee gear. A timemore grinder. C2 or C2S would be great. Tellll meee!! (Read body text pls)
Okay, then you can start with a moka pot, and some pre ground beans for starting, then you should get a grinder once you get the habit of moka pot, for moka pot Bialetti is the best option or if you wanna go a bit budget friendly then Budan stainless steel one is also pretty good, and for grinder st

1zpresso Q air or Timemore C3
Save money with a timemore c2s if you're brewing fp only, or just get a Kingrinder K6 if you're planning to get an espresso setup in future.

Small scale & manual burr grinder
If you’re only doing AP, I have the Timemore Chestnut C2s. It’s around $80 and does a great job. Only had it about a month so can’t comment on longevity, but I read a lot of reviews before buying anything and the reviews were great. I just use a small digital scale I got on Amazon for general cookin

What hand grinder do you have for your Aeropress?
I started with the Timemore C2s and honestly really liked it. My two complaints were the internal adjustment and non-folding crank handle, but those were nitpicky and the handle I didn’t really notice it until I upgraded to the 1Zpresso J-Ultra. But I ONLY upgraded due to wanting a grinder capable o

Suggest an economical home setup.
What’d you drink? If you like black coffee then I’d reccomend you a kaldipress (indian copy of aeropress) for about ₹1500/- and then a grinder for 5-6k (Timemore c2s, c3s). If you dont have the budget for a grinder just get pre ground coffee to start off with. Check out hoffman’s aeropress video
