Torn between Terramaster F4-424 Pro vs Ugreen DX4800 Plus

The Terramaster F4-424 Pro with 2 HDDs, 2 SSDs and 2 NVMEs. Runs TrueNas Scale. TrueNas is a bit fiddly but overall quite pleased with result. I did notice that one drive near the CPU gets hotter, likely due to the CPU cooling element being close by.

[Help Me Choose] Home Server: Mini PC + DAS vs. Branded NAS - Upgrading from My Gaming PC

I went the pre-built route. Terramaster F4 424 Pro on a black Friday sale. I didn't like the idea of dealing with a usb das on top of a mini PC. I saw too many warnings around usb reliability to want to deal with that. If you do go the mini PC route then don't cheap out on the USB DAS. For backups I

For roughly $350, is this NAS on Kickstarter a good deal?

Have you looked at TerraMaster F4-424 (PRO)? You can simply replace the internal boot USB and use your own OS

N100 Mini PC to N100 NAS build, stupid?

I went with a Terramaster F4-424 pro N-305 processor and installed Unraid on it. Happy so far. Underclocking the CPU in the BIOS makes it nearly silent if HDDs are not spinning.

Media Storage Advice. All on NUC? NUC+NAS/DAS? just starting out.

4th option. Get a moderately powerful NAS and skip the NUC and storage issues. 4 Bay NAS from someone like Terramaster or UGreen that comes with a modern Intel chip and the ability to run the OS of your choice. Edit: For reference I'm rocking a Terramaster F4 424 Pro

Torn between Terramaster F4-424 Pro vs Ugreen DX4800 Plus

I owned the 4800 plus for about a year and loved it. I don't know as much about the F4 424 pro. It looks like the ugreen is about $100 cheaper at the moment, which you could use to load up the ram. I don't know about the terramaster but with the 4800 plus, if you decide to use a third-party OS, you

Need your recommendations for choosing HomeServer

My Terramaster F4 424 Pro has an Intel N305, 32Gb Memory, 4 HDD bays, 2 Nvme slots and dual 2.5gb Ethernet. It's compact and reasonably quiet. Supports running your own OS so I'm using Open Media Vault. Generally get decent discounts at common sales season e.g. black Friday.

Hi guys I want to buy/build a NAS for under £800 (already have storage) - what are the minimum specs I should be looking at for 5 users to stream content from Jellyfin.

This NAS (Terramaster F4-424 Pro) has just dropped by more than £200 on Amazon, the spec is better for the price than anything you could build yourself and will massively exceed your streaming requirements.

Entertainment Prepping

If you're asking about a ttrpg to start, I don't think anyone would go wrong with buying a dungeons and dragons 5th edition starter set. If you meant for a media server that depends on how much you're willing to tinker and build. Off the shelf bang for your buck ready to go(doesn't include drives)?

Unraid OS 7.2.1 Now Available

2x Terramaster (F4-424 Pro and F6-424 with lots of docker containers and running an array of all disks each) running on 7.14 almost flawlessly upgraded to 7.2.1. I only need to remove the /boot/config/dashboard_setting.json to get the dashboard to three columns.
