Yes. On here for example--here's one thread that looks like 4-5 people are voicing it. Other similar threads seem to come up with 1-2 people. I'd say I probably encountered 20 different names in my searches for chip, chipped, defect. Not all the chips are Amazon related but all are almost identical.

The company Filtropa used to manufacture the Technivorm Moccamaster filters for them. Filtropa and also their (identical?) Moccamaster branded ones were the best. Last year they went out of business, unfortunately. Moccamaster is now producing their own filters or found a new manufacturer to produce
