Uneven/Wobbly base on KGBV

I would say, when I read more than 5 or 8 or 10 posts on something across Reddit, Target, Kohls, dedicated coffee sites that something is occurring--it's a known issue. You're reporting uneven base mounts. Do register the unit with Technivorm/MM. Amazon sold me a unit for $179 on Black Friday, brand

Running out of things to try - Overflowing KBG - I really wanted this to work :(

The crazy thing is there is nothing wrong with the machine based on the information provided, unless something is happening with the funnel when coffee is in the basket that doesn’t happen with straight water. If I was OP and didn’t want to give up I would make a video demonstrating everything descr

Loving the "plastic free" life

I think many brewers are equally “non-toxic” as the moccamaster. Toxin leaching is one thing. Microplastics another, and no plastic is immune to shedding microplastics when exposed to hot food or liquid. Most major brand coffee makers use pfas free plastic and virtually all are bpa free and have bee

Joined the family!

Yes. On here for example--here's one thread that looks like 4-5 people are voicing it. Other similar threads seem to come up with 1-2 people. I'd say I probably encountered 20 different names in my searches for chip, chipped, defect. Not all the chips are Amazon related but all are almost identical.

Change to Moccamaster brand filters?

The company Filtropa used to manufacture the Technivorm Moccamaster filters for them. Filtropa and also their (identical?) Moccamaster branded ones were the best. Last year they went out of business, unfortunately. Moccamaster is now producing their own filters or found a new manufacturer to produce

Am I doing it wrong, or is this as good as it gets? KBGT

I was looking st the manual a couple if days ago and i was kind of surprised to see this advice What's In The Cup The water-to-coffee ratio we recommend is the approved industry standard, but your taste preferences may vary. ** If your coffee is too strong, add hot water to your finished cup. If it'

So disappointed ...

Your review and first impressions are spot on. The problem with this subreddit is that critical comments on TechniVorm and the Moccamaster are downvoted/dismissed. There are very real areas for improvement on the product and it doesn’t make very good coffee (yes, I own a MM).

If you had to recommend one coffee maker in 2026, what would it be?

The chinese label may be obsolete but come on, it’s not racist. If you’ve never heard complaints of the plastics being cheap you’ve never visited the moccamaster subreddit. Even technivorm admits they look cheap but says its because they don’t use toxic additives, which is ridiculous because neither
