I was doing the same until the most recent firmware update for my c120 cameras. Now the HA connection is broken. Are you using the tapo camera control integration from HACS or the official tp-link integration?

Yes! So glad to find this post. Same problem here. C120 camera with good Wi-Fi connection would take 30 to 40 seconds to connect to the Tapo app for viewing. I had TP Link tech support replace the camera under warranty, though that didn't fix the problem. The connection problem has been fixed recent
