Get the most basic Vtec audio monitor and a TP- Link Tapo C120 WiFi camera. The audio monitor will alert you if the baby cries etc, the camera will aloe you to see what's happening in good quality from anywhere. I recommend that camera specifically bc its IR emitters don't have the red glow.

For cameras, you’ll see a lot of recommendations for Tapo (TP-link). I have 2 Tapo c120, one on each end to get a clearer picture on the large enclosure. C110 or c120 are both great! No subscription to operate either. You can even take snapshots from it to your phone and download videos too.

i like using the tp link tapo c120 camera with blue iris to see where it last was.
