Hilfe ich bin in Vereins-"IT" reingerutscht

DS920+ upgrade to i3-n305 on Xpeonology
I run Xpenology for almost a year now. The most important thing to remember is the update process (incremental updates are fine, 7.3 to 7.4 for example are not). It's important to know if a new update will work with Xpenology first. That said, I kept it simple; my Xpenology VM runs within Truenas (I

Replacing Ugreen DXP2800 vs Synology DS725+ due to safety concerns?
If you don't need remote access, you can lock this down with no problems (I think the service is called u green link or something like that and you can disable it). Or install Truenas. Synology DSM is an awesome operating system, but you didn't indicate that you want to change your nas because you w

Based on your extensive experience, what is your most important advice for a new NAS user?
I have a DS723+ and I'm finding the AMD Ryzen R1600 processor more than fast enough for a home user. I thought the Ryzen R1600 was the processor Synology uses for many of its better boxes? I have the option of more bays via an expansion box should I need them, but I haven't in 8 years of using a NAS

Frustrated with installation and wishing it was easier
I’d recommend buying A Synology NAS - one of the ‘+’ models like the DS225+ or the DS725+. The Synology DiskStation software will sort out your certificates and your reverse proxies and you can use the linuxserver docker images. Refer to Marius Hosting for tutorials on how to set everything up. I’ve
