Kaufberatung NAS für kleine Handwerksfirma
Synology bietet neben überteuerter Hardware eine sehr gute Softwareintegration. Grad für sehr kleine Unternehmen ohne große Anforderungen bekommt man da was das out of the box funktioniert und bedienbar ist. Klar geht das auch alles günstig und open source aber dann muss man entweder Ahnung haben, v

NAS Overkill?
The DS225+ ($339) is good and would not be overkill, but I would highly recommend getting larger than 2TB drives you're considering. In fact, the price difference from 2TB to 4TB or even 6TB drives is quite small, so consider that if you want to have some space to grow. Other options to consider if

Newbie - Debating between DXP2800 vs DS225+
While the UGreen hardware is amazing, as a newbie to NAS you will want great software that integrates well with your mobile needs for Android, iOS and iPadOS and UGOS does not. I have been a Synology user for over ten years and recently upgraded to the DS225+, but I went with a TerraMaster F2-425+ f

What are y'all buying for today's Singles day sales
Synology ds225+ with 2x 12 tb hdds. It was a steal at $700 with the enclosure itself already around $580 at other shops. Unfortunately the ds255+ still comes with an older procesor and no m2 slots. but a Plex Media Server, it will do its job.

Unterstützung bei der Auswahl eines passenden NAS Modells
I got this recommendation from a few people and doing some research it seems a really good option. My local store has an open box and I think in going to grab it this weekend Synology DiskStation DS225+ 2-Bay Diskless NAS

Synology BeeStation Plus or DS225+ for my use case?
IIRC the BeeStation supports Plex, the Synology definitely does. The BeeStation however has one really great thing going for it, a fixed price total backup called BeeProtect. Ie the 4TB one is $75/year including VAT where I live. Besides being lower cost, the total backup matters. $75/year is less t

Simple home music server for family streaming (NAS?)
thanks all, I was previously recommended a synology DS225+ it's £295 in Currys (UK). I try to avoid Amazon for big tech and like a UK tax paying company ideally with a physical shop. Maybe the Ugreen option is the DXP2800? which £299 in Argos.(was £319 in Currys but out of stock) I had not expected

Looking to purchase first home NAS, but am overwhelmed by all the options and need advice
For your use case on simplicity, Synology fits the bill. If you've got HDD already then $300 can get you a used 2 bay off eBay like the DS224+ or DS225+. If you're going to be buying HDD then you can take other people's advice on buying an older used pc and setup next cloud and immich

Recommendation for external storage
I would NOT recommend running Trusnas on an old laptop with USB DAS drives. ZFS is very demanding on drive connections and USB can be too unpredictable. Synology was just an example. Based on what I hear, it's got the best software and support but is the worst hardware value. However, if I was going
